A stunningly good article here on the tribal belief fallacies that infected the nutritionist and epidemiological communities for the last five decades and is just being dismantled now. 50 years of officially sanctioned nutrition advice that turned out to be dead wrong. How did it happen? Wonderful exposé here...

It's long but excellent.

This all concerns the fat/carb link to cardiovascular disease and not specific techniques for bulking or cutting in bodybuilding. That may be obvious but thought I'd throw it in just in case.

Thank you. I watched the movie, fat head, and it made me delve into more of this. It's crazy how well we were all duped.

Cool! I'll check it out on netflix. I really like Super Size Me, so if this is in the same vein that works for me even if it's a counterargument.

Wasn't a big enough release to get any scoring data on RottenTomatoes, maybe that's why I never noticed it:

IMDB has a few though: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1333994/

Definitely a counter argument to super size me. You could honestly skip through the first six chapters of the fluff and childish comedy before it gets into the science.

Bah, no netflix offering not even on disc. It's available for $13 on iTunes, not really up for a full-price movie ticket just to download the bits. :( I'll search torrents...

https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/fat-head-directors-cut/id669960168?ign-mpt=uo=4

Found it:

I wouldn't mind supporting the filmmaker here but $13 for one viewing of a single movie at home is way too much. Don't even get a DVD case or ATMOS sound system. Marginal cost of delivering those bits to customers is virtually nil -- make it $3/ea and I bet revenues would skyrocket as many customers decided to pay instead of torrent. Oh well. Greed as fatal flaw.

That's exactly what the Documentary Dude reviewer said. Thx for the recommendation!

It usually bounces back and forth for free on Hulu and Netflix streaming services.

Looks like it's not on either anymore.
