it's going to be 18 tonight. I've already put blankets in its dog house but that's not enough.

I need options.

it's not even my dog but it's neglected so I assumed responsibility.

Blankets and staple a piece of rubber or plastic on the top, over the hole he/she walks in. Just to keep some cold air out.

And fill his or her belly up before you go to sleep tonite.
 
Bring them in or if they have a dog house put a heat light bulb in it

I won't leave mine out at night if the temp drops below 35 F.

I was reading about some sort of thermal blanket for dogs a few weeks ago that are supposed to work well inside the dog house but I don't know if it was just hype or if they really work.
