So I've been dealing with elbow/forearm pain for the last 2 years but recently its become unbearable. All signs I thought pointed to tennis elbow.

Turns out tendons are fine, scar tissue build up is compressing the nerve and needs to be removed.
Nothing to do with tendons or tennis elbow an no ammount of rest will fix it, contrarily it allows more scar tissue to build up without tearing an makes it worse.

Good news is the surgery is much easier and better recovery than tennis elbow.
If you're experiencing this type of pain look into it before blaming Tennis Elbow, Im so glad its getting fixed.

I'm having similar issues with my right elbow. Have tennis elbow symptoms but also painful in between joint especially when doing pushups or bench press. How long is the recovery time?

I’ve battled tendinitis for years.

chronic kratom use/abuse and wrist straps during my workouts have helped. Also, those braces that I wear to bed help.

but now I’m curious if I’m not experiencing something similar to what you stated above.

what could cause the initial scar tissue build up? Also, what tests did you have to do in order for that discovery to be made?

thanks in advance.

So here is an update. I went to a nerve specialist and he ran some electrical tests and the Dr misdiagnosed me.

Ended up going in and getting some cortisone pumped into the tendons in the elbow/fore arm and am undergoing PT.

At first I got an elbow brace and that allowed me to really hurt it, to where it was immobile and useless.

So far the shot helped quite a bit, now I can move my arm... but the tendon is still fucked up in there.
Have another visit on Friday, they are such assholes about just running an MRI they want to do everything else first.
I don't really want to dick around with several different treatments if the tendon is fucked beyond the repair PT is going to provide.
Been doing PT for 3 weeks and its still not right, have to see what the doc says Friday.

Have you tried BPC 157 and tb-500?

Couple guys here swear by it for those types of issues. Might be worth it for ya.
