    Protein requirements

Do you base yours on lean mass or total bodyweight?

I could be defiantly wrong but I go buy my body weight. It has worked for me. Not a competition BB. Just a regular BB.

I agree with monte. there are more accurate variables to consider, I would say Iím mostly on auto pilot with macros... but my range of protein varies from 2-250 on most days.

    Ponder this:
Appetite is not an indicator of protein needs, and
why would protein needs change drastically day by day given the same body weight?

I go with simple 40c/35p/25f in % of calories .Right now recomping on 3500 cals which means i need around 300g of protein. Also aiming 75 % of my total protein intake to be from meats and eggs.

Neither. I just shoot for 250 grams a day. I'm always willing to hear and learn more, though.

Appetite is a huge indicator of protein amounts.

If I'm struggling to put down food, it is the first thing to decrease typically depending on the amount of fats I'm consuming.

If my appetite is churning, it's the first thing to increase, also dependent on other factors.

Nobody said anything about day to day.

Iím guess lean body mass is the correct answer...

but Iím lazy and just shoot for 45%-50% of my daily macros... 🤔 could be why my love handles wonít go the fuck away....
