    Chronic IT Band soreness

Anyone ever deal with IT Band Syndrome? I've been having issues off and on for a couple of years and can't kick it. Mainly below the hip area, not close to the knees where most people get it.

I notice more residual pain after squatting and dead lifts... Heavy or light weight does it.

I've done some stretching and active release technique therapy along with some therapy at a physical therapist.

    Any ideas appreciated! TIA

Any regular smashing with a foam roll/barbell/PVC pipe or percussion massager yet?

I had some real issues with my IT band before and required smashing with a PVC pipe daily for a couple weeks. Plus strengthening weak spots like adductors. Got the tightness to go away. Now it comes on here and there and only requires a little percussion massage for the most part. I now mostly have issues with my psoas making my hips and lower back tight. Those are a little harder to get to...

Thanks for the insight GC. The therapy I've done is a step above rolling and massaging but I only did it 2x/week until it felt better. I should probably be more consistent.
