For the most part I don't think we want really different things, but rather have been tricked into being divided so the powerful remain in power.

You know like how the US Military operates, its the most socialist system in America: Healthcare for "Free", Family size dependent housing allowance "Free", Money to move "Free", College Tuition "Free". That is what Socialism looks like my man, have you been in the service? Its nice not to have to worry about that shit. Its a nicety all Americans should have. Granted it is a lot more complicated that giving everyone a home and job, but it is something to aspire to.

The school of though I tend to go along with is that such change can only arrive culturally. Laws and regulations may set some ground work, but the basic way people think needs to change.
It got to be a change from the paranoia that we are being ripped off while living better than anyone else in the world. We are all in the same boat largely, getting dicked over while told that if we just keep taking it things will get better and the wealth will start trickling down... Been hearing that for 40 years now and not a drop.

Having a job is something of prestige, most people enjoy working and making a living. Being on welfare sucks. There will always be shitty losers, try not to let those people shape your entire outlook on society. The world's dickheads... There ain't enough bullets, knives and fist... I spent years trying... They ain't going anywhere, so fuck 'em and just leave them be, certainly don't let them influence policy.

You're mixing soviet era Stalinism (which is a real thing) with theoretical forms of government and other varying socialist systems. Ecuador is pretty cool, they aren't a brutal regime (that was our S. American Capitalist allies in the 70s and 80s, big torture mass murder guys), so there are horrid murderous dictators on every side of every political coin. You break 6 digits in a year, you give more back to your community and your charity of choice. I guarantee we can fix healthcare without socialism. We need those that depend on us to help keep us alive and we need punitive damage caps on MDs and to prevent these con artist insurance companies from running the racket they have been.

we need the middle class to reproduce more, we need the poor people to become part of the middle class and we need the bottom feeders to not be bottom feeders... and that is part of education reform. No one should ever be too proud to work, even if it isn’t the most glamorous gig. It’s called doing your part. This country got lazy. Nothing but 1st world problems.

trade schools, apprenticeship programs, colleges need to quit operating as banks.

MILF, you're speaking my language brother. What you are describing many would label a form of socialism and call your "Entertainment Tax" very Elizabeth Warren. Whats the difference in taxing actors and taxing ultra rich? Both made their money off the backs of the working class.

Socialism, equality tax, doing what one is supposed to do, call it whatever.... It would be nice if people were decent, regardless of what they called themselves. Unfortunately large systems like corporations and health insurance companies behave like living entities with none of the "do the right thing" of an individual.
