Anyone here have to get piss tested for work or Armed Forces? Does the test pick up PEDs? My understanding is that depends on which battery of tests is done?

Tested for armed forces and contractors no issues with PEDs but I’d be cautious in certain job fields

Ehh... Armed forces I would worry, something like security at or work at a nuclear facility I would worry.Job in a Manufacturing Facility not so much.

Not sure why a job would test for PED’s nor have I ever heard of one that did. Totally different panel and much more money to test.

What type of test? Simple THC and stimulant test? Or a 12 panel drug test? And that also Depends on what exactly you're taking. Anabolic injects? Nah, wouldn't worry to much about those. Totally different. Orals? Possibly. Phentermine will show up as a barbituate/stimulant. Clenbuterol possibly, depends on the type of test. Im in a random drug testing program for work, I do road construction. Simple THC/stimulant tests, done on sight with a test strip. 12 panel is a little more extensive. But are you being watched by someone when you pee in the cup? Is it a random test or by appointment? I get the synthetic urine, fool proof my man. Never failed a test... NEVER.

No they do not test for peds. It’s a standard 5 or 10 panel.

Many seals and commandos have come out and said pretty much everyone is on peds, and amphetamines/modafinil at times. So I highly doubt the other branches test for that.
 
I’ve been on Oral T and on PTC now. Also on anti depressants. Not worried about the anti depressant I’ll own that if I have to.

I’ve decided to join the Army at 42yrs old. It’s what I’ve always wanted. My Dad did, brother, uncle fought at Long Tan Vietnam, Gran Dad Korean War. Be part of something bigger than myself. Serve my country and protect my family.

OP, many times in the military and a few jobs (General Dynamics comes to mind) said to me “I hope you’re not using steroids because we test for them.” I guess to see if I had a reaction. Never popped positive for PEDs with any of them. And in the Navy I was on the PRP program where they keep a continuous and close eye on us.
 
I’m Australian guys. Still within the age limit. Took me awhile to convince the wife. We have twin 3yr old girls.

Ever feel like you were made for something. I do. To serve. I have theee choices, I applied for Comm Systems , 2nd Combat Specialist, and Officer.

Thanks for the encouragement and info. It is what it is, I’m better on PEDs Inwant to be the best I can be whatever I do.
 
Good luck mate! I served alongside ADF two tours and they are still some of my best mates 11 years later.

Good luck bro! I know exactly how you feel. I’m the black sheep of the family in that regard. Pretty much the only male on
my fathers side to not serve and it’s been a huge regret of mine all my life. The goal, is to have zero regrets at the end of the line. So, much respect to you for going forward with your plans to serve your country.

as far as I’m concerned, you’d think police forces and military personnel would be encouraged to use PEDS. You want the advantage on the competition, right?

Man ive ran dbol, mast, tren test, tne, and ive taken multiple pisstest for disa. Have had no issues yes they are in depth tests due to it being chemical plants. But so far so good

Drug tests are meant for anything that would impair your ability to do your job. If they are testing for anything else then they are most likely discriminating against you.

Most common pre-employment or random piss tests are looking for narcotics and weed and testing for anabolics is very expensive.
 
I've had a UAs on clen, var, test, eq, tren and PCT drugs. It costs a lot to test for anabolics, its not done with a regular UA.

Testing for those things would be if you are going to be in a sanctioned sport that requires anabolics and ancillaries testing. Typical UA's only test for narcotics and weed.

Also what they test for is in the regulations with whatever military branch you're looking to serve in.

5 years in the army, 3 years on and have had no problems.

They'll do anything they can to manipulate the system to make sure youre clean when you do the initial piss test.

So here’s the truth, just for the simple fact that I see a lot of speculation and I want to clear things up:
Armed forces: the simple answer is NO. They drug test at random through your unit and are required to test every member on your unit at least once per fiscal year. These drug tests cover all opiates, narcotics, barbiturates, THC, and amphetamines. They do NOT test for PED’s or testosterone unless 2 things happen:
1. They have reason to believe you are abusing steroids or have proof that you are
2. An officer in the grade of O5 or higher has to sign documents to specifically request you be tested for such substances (which they won’t do unless there is a specific reason).

Contracting: this is a tad more complicated. Same as above, they test for all recreational drugs. In typical jobs like simple security positions, no they don’t test for PED’s. However, if you’re a defense contractor, or in positions involving direct action in an austere/hostile environment, it is at the discretion of the PMC company to test you for anything they deem necessary.

Me still being active duty and being in SOF, I have worked with PMC’s that get drug tested routinely for everything, and also some that are only tested for typical drugs. The world of Government contracting is very subjective and they largely operate by their own rules.

I’m unsure of what exactly you’re responding to... nothing about my post was asking on how to beat a UA. I was responding to the protocol for testing for AAS in the armed forces and within PMC’s.
