Just got my bloodwork back. My last labs were 4 months ago, everything looked good. Except my White Blood cell count dipped from it's usual 6.5 to 4.0 with 4.0 the bottom of the normal range. My Neutrophil ABS went from 3.50 to 1.52 still in range but now towards the low end of 1.40-6.51 something called Neutrophil % was low out of range at 37.70 range of 39.46% to 71.96% 4 months ago same labs I was 49%... Not much available about Neutrophil % I am not feeling sick, my std and hepatitis tests were all negative too. Any thoughts?

seems as if having blood drawn first think in the AM this time around vs mid afternoon may have impacted it....

My white blood cells used to come back high when I ran very high doses of AAS.
My nurse friend said that’s a sign of an infection .
if yours are low I guess you don’t have an infection. Haha 😆

did he pull a thyroid function test also? is so post the results..

low WBC could be a cause of many things and none of us are specialists here and you'd need to speak to your Dr.. But I would mention checking thyroid function test if he didn't already..
My wife went through this and it turned out to be hashimoto's..

Thanks! Thyroid tests came back great with everything in the middle of the range,,, Talked to the Dr today and he really thinks WBC was low normal because of the early morning donation and since WBC were lower so was the % of Neutrophils... Said I could expect a 20% raise in both latter in the day putting me where I am usually at... None the less we will do bloods in 6 weeks in the afternoon

It's probably nothing. Or it could be leukemia. Or Lupus. But it's never Lupus. Unless it's Lupus.
