That was my first salary, mandatory 1 year job required to apply for permanent practising license. Sad state of affairs for doctors here.

My dad is a land investor and constructor. God bless him for working his ass off all his life.

PS - I bet 90% of independent gyms in the US aren't clearing that kind of money every month. Most of the owners I know offer training and diet coaching for fees. They could not survive on the revenue from gym memberships alone.

General Physician. I am not practising anywhere though. I just look after the family business in the morning and then hang out in the gym rest of the day.

Gym and fitness centers are a new market here, so field is not that saturated. Most gyms clear 1.5k usd to 3k usd. Which is a fuck more than what an average salaried person makes. Our minimum wage is 120 usd per month.

Asian parents project their dreams on their kids. My dad wanted to be a doctor but his parents were too poor to afford his tuition. So he made a deal with me lol. Asked me to become a doctor and I went in for the hot med school chicks. Win win. I do not enjoy working as a doctor, shitty hours, shitty pay and next to no social life.
My wife on the other hand enjoys being a doctor, so shes going to be a resident in medicine soon.

A general physician earns around 380 usd on average.

A new specialist makes 1000-1300 usd

An experienced specialist makes anywhere from 2000-3000 usd

Surgeons and people with their own private practise make a tonne though but most of them start making good money in their mid 40s. Takes time to build a repute.

Actually the concept of luxury and necessity is different in third world countries and first world countries.
US natives, cant even make ends meet in minimum wage while people from third world countries working on minimum wage in US, are happy and even send a lot of money back home.
For third world citizens, life is the name of just breathing. You eat, sleep and work. No vacations, no enjoyment nothing. You just keep saving money. So they save a lot even in minimum wage.

Orthopedics is one of the top 10 highest paid jobs in the world.
The downside to all of this is, they spent their prime years of life pulling shifts, having no social life and spent most of their weekends in libraries. So you trade your youthful years for a fuck tonne of money when you are old.

I prefer having my youth to myself, my old self can live in an old home for all i care
