How tall are you? Just curious....

also partial deads, is that the same thing as rack pull... I want to put deads back in my routine. Was thinking of starting off with rack pulls.

when performing a rack pull, do you bring the bar to rest on the rack at the negative end of the movement or do you maintain the hold (not bringing the bar all the way to rest on the rack?

i hope that question makes sense....

Partial deads are different. These start from the floor and travel in the same way as a dead but stop right before the back starts to work. They hammer your hamstrings.

Rack pulls I stop at the bottom. No momentum.

255 was getting a bit uncomfortable early this year but, I was in decent shape still.

Hopefully a few more lbs won't be terrible. Think this was at my highest weight.

I think Jerome Bettis was like 245 at 5’11...they called him the bus. We’d have to call you the tank.

I mean , you wear it well. If I get close to 200 I look like an m&m.

Meals today.

Not great. Only had 3 hours of sleep after getting off work this morning so that killed my appetite for most of the day.

2 oikos yogurts
25g whey
1tbsp natural pb

60g almonds

340g 85/15 organic grass fed beef
Broccoli

4tbsp heavy whipping cream

Not ideal but I just couldn't stand the thought of food.

Tomorrow I get the day off and I train so that will help with sleep and appetite.

Not bad. Those hammer rows are feeling great right now. Switched from pulling each side in one set to both and besides being able to use less weight, I feel a much better contraction and stretch. Also using a standard grip instead of neutral is hitting the upper back more which needs to grow.

Thinking of pushing food up a tiny bit post workout. Not much just 25g carbs in each of my post training meals. Should be enough for continued progress.

I love the HS Mid Row. Always feels great. So youre saying you used to pull one arm at a time and switched to using both at once?

Yeah. I can pull 5 plates a side one arm at a time 12-15 times just because you're in a better spot for leverage.

Using both arms, 3 plates is about 10 reps. It's a humbler.

No doubt. Ive noticed the same thing. Only thing I dont like about both arms is the pressure on my sternum when the weights get heavy. Especially when I have a full belly.

Yeah that's the one draw back. Get gassed fairly quick. You can catch your breath after every 4th rep on muscle rounds though
