I am surprised that I dont see people from here.. I knew a couple of the guys at IMF were local to me but never saw them in a gym. I am pretty anti social IRL. I rarely talk to any one at the gym accept for the Mexican lady walking around cleaning up... I go out of my way to say hello to her... The unspoken hero of the weight room... How people can act like they dont see her day after day completely baffles me.


Ya, the gym I go to thankfully nobody really says much unless it is with whoever they are working out with. It is funny when the highschool kids show up thought cause all they do it talk. There is one guy who is prolly 80lbs overweight he will take his shirt off to bench press and he thinks he ripped with his big ole man boobs. Its kinda sad.
 
I made it with veri veri teriyaki marinade... I marinate it for a couple hours... It is high in sugar but sugar does not absorb into the meat and the little sugar that stays on the outside wont make a big difference for me. Most of the marinade is still in the bag after I remove the meat.. and I dont use any sauces. Then I just grill over high heat first then move to cooler side of the grill to continue to cook until the rest of the fat renders out of the thigh... nothing worse than biting into a fatty chicken thigh.

Tris are sore!! this AM.

A cardio session is it for me today.. 30 mins on the bike.

Side note- I bought a season pass to a local mountain because I just don't think the snow is going to get deep enough for a lot of back country riding this year.. We are half way through the season and we are looking at inches instead of the feet I need. But this will obviously affect my work outs because I will be trying to take advantage of the pass and any that rides hard knows the next day your body is pretty useless. Back legs and joints are all toast for a couple days.

Also got some new gear. nothing to do with lifting but I got an arctyrex cerium LT jacket yesterday also!!! Im really pumped about it and had to mention it.
 
I snowboard myself. Agree that if you ride hard enough you will feel it the next day (or two sometimes). I honestly think it is a great addition to my normal routine. I rode last Saturday and still did legs on Sunday. I don't ride every weekend so that doesn't happen too often throughout the season.
 
just to update this with my slacking.. havent been in the gym since last post. Kids sports and activities come before daddy's vanity is the bottom line and I can only get up so many days at 3 am. Im hoping to get two more days this weekend.

on the plus side my diet has been good. Still eating my meals. Since I havnt been in the gym, I have been throwing away a carb portion of my prepped meals to help.

I understand that part. I went home earlier and skipped gym one this week for a sick kid. She decided she wanted daddy and not mom so I went home curled up in a blanket at watched movies!

I have three man and two of them are in sports so I spend 4 hours a day at different practices 3 days a week and weekends are Competitive volley ball tourneys 7 am - 6 pm last weekend. and swim starts in March... But between volley ball swim gymanastics and Kumon.. Im exhausted. Obviously me and my wife both have full time jobs too. So basicaly my gym time now is 4-530 am while the kids and wife are still asleep. then i get home make four lunches, hit the showers and take the kids to school.

I let my wife sneak off after work and go to the gym while I take care of the kids. She puts up with a lot being with me. Including spur of the moment 5-6 day back packing trips. I also get to take off for any powder day really and snow board all day. and she has never left the kids for a whole 24 hours in 5 years. Our first trip away with out the kids is in July...and get this we are going to Disney Land. what ever its her vacation.. I have a 5 day trip on the lost coast trail coming in Sept this year.

That is alot going on. At least your keeping the diet and getting gym time when you can rsther than saying fuck it haha. Diet is the hard for me with the kids. I am a sucker for mac n cheese and grilled cheese. Maybe i just love cheese.

been busy but did legs last sunday and did chest yesterday morning... I have bee really liking the difference in the work outs. I have been way more sore than usual. Feeling like a manly man that does manly things!

back to work. gotta sell some shit to some people that dont have a choice but to buy.. well they dont have to buy from me but they still gotta buy.

Quick update- I have only been doing cardio and have been working double time at work... I am hoping to take off and go heli skiing in BC for a week soon(with in three weeks). It depends on storms and how quickly my passport gets renewed. Ill be in person at the office early in the morning. Im hoping I have it by time I head home tomorrow.

Fingers crossed on shredding some serious nar. Lifting can wait.

Me and my pops just decided to drive to Bend... and that is because we did not know where we would end up. We were trying to go cat skiing in the cascades and were planning on hitting mount hood and baker but bachelor was so good we just stayed. It was more or less a road trip with no set destination or end date. We just had to be back by the following Monday. But the food in Bend was crazy good.

Side note- The number of cannabis shops for that little town is almost comical. Cannacopia is literally one door away from another cannabis club. Its like starbucks out there.

Ya the cannabis stores are crazy around here and are only getting bigger and bigger. You missed the blizzard this weekend that hit Mt. Hood. Good thing because they closed a couple of the spots down it was so bad. Bachelor is a great place and Bend is amazing. We go to Bend every spring for a week to golf and then again in the early fall. My little girl looks forward to memorial day every year cause she knows she gets her vacation with my dad and me for an entire week!

I would love to move there but jobs are hard to come by making good money unless you already know someone. Glad you enjoyed it in Oregon Skinny!

ok why not continue my journey to bikini season... Work outs have been hit and miss for a while now but with closing of snowboard season will become regular.

Yesterday did legs and cardio

Leg press 6 sets
2 warm up
4 working sets- 540*10 three sets and one set at 630 for 8

Hack squat machine- 90 lbs 5 sets 12 reps- I point my toes outward and as I drop down my knees go out toward the direction of my toes. Then pull it all back in.... platz hack squat.. see below

Leg curl 6 sets

Leg extensions 6 sets

30 Mins Bike.


Well I still look like shit but Ill get another starting pic up... I got arms and cardio tonight after work.

Im going to be eating light and only running TRT so no blasting just dieting and lifting my way to a cheeky Bikini..

Lunchs this week are chicken, rice and bellpeppers

Breakfast is a couple eggs

Dinner last night was 3/4 lb hanger steak.. 1 slice made from scratch bolognese lasagna and Brussels sprouts.


Im going to try Bone broth protein supp and still use humapro protein pills.

1 banana 2 cuties Bone broth protein shake

Post work out- Humapro Pills and an apple

Dinner was a bowl of brussel sprouts and another hanger steak...

Didn't eat enough yesterday but it is what it is and thats what I ate.
 
Welp its about that time of year to start getting ridiculously good looking....

This journal is here for the sole purpose of keeping me accountable. Not sure why but i try harder to when I have a journal. Im less likely to fall of the wagon and eat junk for a month straight or only hit the gym twice in a week.

If anyone decides to follow and has a question about my supps shoot me a pm.

Ill be posting what im eating for the most part with food porn. I do most of the prep on sundays. i will also have progress pics and other random stuff I might be doing with my life.

Lolz..... serious question how you like those huma pro pills? I think it's like 5 per 30 grams protein at like 2 cals.....a tid bit expensive but not really if they are as advertised.....

I like them but its not really 5 pills equals 30 grams protein. Its more like 5 pills gives you certain amino acids that would normally require the consuming of 30 grams of protein to achieve. They say the amino acids that they provide are the most usable and by the human body hence "huma"... I did think it was a little misleading but in the end I like the product.

Advantages over protein powder
Pills are easy for me to get down- a lot easier than a heavy protein shake
Taste- I dont really taste them
Convenience
No bloat

At the end of the day its just a supp though its not going to take anyone to the next level or anything just a small piece to a very big puzzle.... that I have been trying to figure out for the last couple years. :thinking:

Well went boarding yesterday and either broke my foot or have a mid foot sprain.. I have an appointment to go get xrays today :(.. cant put pressure on it right now.. and it was a brutal trip home driving my stick shift and getting off the mountain being where I was. I don't know how this will affect me yet. The foot that I hurt already has six pins in it and had very limited mobility. So really IDK man.

I will still go in and do leg extension and leg curls but leg press is out... I was already pretty limited because of that foot anyway, and I dont know how long till I can get back on a bike. Currently on crutches and will probably be given a boot today.
 
what a bummer man...

might be time to think about GH to help heal that foot and help w fat loss

Shoulder press machine-6 sets
Tri push down cables six sets
Pec Deck- 6 sets
Seated curls with over head tri extension
Seated curl to shoulder press- 6 sets
Lateral raises
Last three sets were a super set drop sets- DB Curl to Should press, Lateral raises, drop weight and finish with lateral raises no weight... Shoulders were burning

Cant do cardio at the moment... Doc says I have a the very least 3 weeks in this boot. Moving shit around the gym kind of sucks right now too.
