Getting rid of the garbage

I throw my empty vials and syringes (syringes only - without the needles) in the trash... but I'm a nurse and I work in a hospital, so I take all my needles in discretely and pitch them in a sharps container there

I basically do the same thing as I work in a hospital as well (systems administrator). Throw the pins discreetly into the sharps containers that are in all restrooms in the hospital and the barrels and empty vials (I remove or deface the labels first) go into regular trash at home.

I use old supplement containers and protein tubs. If I don't have that then usually an old coffee container. For some reason I always wait until my trash man is almost there then toss them in. Kind of silly but makes me feel better.


I have a lot of crazy exes who would love to find my disposables. lol

It will sound silly but if you really want to get rid of garbage properly you always can. The issue is ignorance and indifference from our side that has lead to dirty cities and unhealthy living in our modern world. Think about it. If each of us spent a bit more time into thinking what could be done to protect our surroundings we would all live a better life. I rent a bin to throw all my garbage and have them picked up. The biggest advantage related to that tactic is the awesomeness of having everything sorted out and recycled by other people without having to pay extra.
