Took the fam out today for the first time this year. My daughter is hooked, time to buy her some fishing gear. Just a nice day, feels good to get out on the water. Anyone else fish?

just got back, took the wife and kids to the local pier, we didnt catch anything, but at least my kids werent staring at a TV

This, I think this is why I enjoyed it so much. We only stayed a couple hours and caught 3 but it was pretty fun having them out with me. That smile on my daughters face. Good times for sure. Going to have to do it more often.

HAHAHA that me. I took some time off when my daughter was born. Now Im hooked again. Im lucky I kept most of my fishing gear. Something about being on the water watching that sun rise or go down. Its just a amazing feeling. Away from everyone!
 
Ahh fishing and hunting. The two most boring past times I can think of. I'd rather watch softcore porn.

Can't imagine how sitting in a tree for hours on end holding in your farts could ever be considered a hobby.

Give me an enclosed space, a four wheeler, an uzi and a time limit and I'll go hunting.

Bring a board game like Monopoly and maybe I could go stare at the water.

I went hunting once. I started snoring 30 minutes into it. My brother took my back home.

Because every once in a while you need to unwind. I do anyway. Being in a forest with no one around can be pretty relaxing IMO. But everyone has their own thing.

Hunting is pretty big in Alabama. Also have the biggest fishing tournament in the U.S 15 minutes from my house.

Its not for everyone. Yet Bass fishing is 100mph lol. 75mph boats, cast cast cast cast. Its non stop. The part that gets overlooked is nature and the outdoors. I dont fish tournaments anymore because I want to enjoy it. But someone guys are 100mph all the time on the water. Its not like trout fishing where you troll a flasher and sit down and drink a beer. I get pretty beat bass fishing. I know its hard to understand until you do it.
 
Deer hunting is big in Alabama. That's not the only hunting people do. Deer hunting is my favorite though but it does get boring
Ive fished and placed in a few small local tournaments bud. I been fishing since I was a kid. Fresh water fishing I agree gets kinda boring.

As a kid I caught more fish then most men brotha. Not bragging or exaggerating its just the truth.

Just a idea of the fishing I really like to do. Trophy hunting. Big ass baits for big ass fish.
 
Trophy bass season opens up soon where I live. You can only keep one and it has to be over 18 inches long or something like that. My Dad and I go every chance we get. I go through withdrawal over the winter and start having fishing dreams usually around January. I should move out of this state...

I wouldnt say that, when I was in Hawaii those guys had to hike forever in high elevation and get into a pit and stab hogs bigger than the average human. crazy shit man
 
The guys down south take there hog hunting serious. Some of my friends have some big money tied up in those dogs. It's fun but I've never got into it, I would much rather bass fish or go inshore Gulf for reds and trout.
