My doctor recently referred me to an endo when I got bloods;
Nothing was out of the ordinary, my e2 was ~90, but I’m also on 250 a week right now so nothing crazy.

Is an endo worth having in my corner or would it just be a classic case of doctors knowing very little about PED athletes?

Any Dr. that is Actually a good one and has Your best interests in mine...Well is hard as Hell to find..In these last 5 or so yrs and over 20+ Dr.s I've seen....maybe 2 or 3 worth a Damn....The rest.."money hungry whores"

Having worked with dozens and dozens of endo's for years, my personal experience was that 90% of them or higher are useless.

They have zero clue about true HRT dosaging. Most of them deal with 70-80 year old men.

I have had to teach more then one Harvard and Yale degree Endo how to prescribe and dose HCG properly

It's amazing to see.

One doctor I worked with who was very good was Dr. Thomas O'Connor. He has a podcast and he is called the "metabolic doctor". Alot of people give him grief because he speaks down on Anabolic abuse, etc, etc. But the truth is, he is right. Having abused gear for a long long long time I can absolutely self reflect and say "what the F was I doing" and see that I was inviting damage.

I would be very surprised if you found a legit endo. The odds are not in your favor, however it also can't hurt to try.

I've been on TRT for 8 years and have been seeing an endo for the past 5 years. She specializes in hormone replacement and treats me extremely well. I personally like having one, and enjoy getting regular bloodwork in between my blasts.

This was kind of the idea I had. My best friend is an MD and even she admits most doctors are useless when it comes to any sort of athlete especially bodybuilders. My main reason for even considering it is the possibility of getting Pharma grade supplies as well being covered by insurance. I know the likelihood of that is low as well as know the type/amount wouldn’t facilitate the numbers I’d need anyway. However I think I will go in and have a consultation. Maybe there’s that 1 in 100 chance I get someone who actually is worth a damn.

That is ideal for sure. Would love to find a doc that is at least somewhat versed in AAS

My endocrinologist was “ok with” my test being 100s and estrogens being in the 400s for six months to “see what happens”. At 10 months my test was up to 210 so she and her colleague thought that 25mg of clomiphene 3x week might bring it up, not TRT as a solution. When I asked why the expected a 58 year old man could return to “normal levels” at all, their response was “let’s see”.
This was after over a year off gear WITH having done PCT.

Thanks but no thanks. Dropped my estrogen with a nutritional supplement and started pinning testosterone again.

My vote: useless.

No slouches either. Both endocrine fellows at UCSD. Guess they were hoping I would get up to the whopping 350 range…eventually.

I want to pursue a endocrinology fellowship after I finish IM. most MD's I work with don't know about endogenous sex steroid hormones. most will say they shorten life when used and they do not teach this in medical school.

I have one in my corner for sure ,shes gives me scripts for Caber and monitors my trt for me amd we have a lot of good communication between us and she helps me a lot and understands me and she knows I use steroids and she deals with me as best she Can writes me scripts and everything I need to stay half way healthy

You’ll need to start with the difference between endogenous and exogenous.

I didn’t have a good experience with my endo. Fucking towel head that didnt speak english and obviously disnt know shit about TRT. My family doctor said to hell with him and just treats me himself now.

My family doc had the best intentions sending me there because an endocrinologist ’should’ be a specialist in the endocrine system and hormones in general but this guy was obviously a quack. Lots of them out there.

I meant what I said. Endogenous sex steroid hormones like estrogen , testosterone. In general physicians don’t know about them. It’s unbelievable.

BINGO BROTHER.

I'll go one further... most.... MOST GP's are fucking actually so dumb they are borderline dangerous.

How does one use endogenous hormones?

I think it’s like with all Dr’s, if you find the right one they are worth their weight in gold, mine gives me scripts for Test, Adderall, Winny, Anavar and offered me Deca. So yeah, they are worth it if you find the right one.
