Gym Tour - Lightning Fitness

This is actually a friend of mines gym, Matt Mills. Good kid. LW Strongman like I was and he recently did his first bodybuilding show at 40+ years old

Good kid, great gym.

The kid in the video is Robert Kearney. Also a friend but I haven't seen him in a few years. He trained pretty regularly out of this gym but he also trained with Poundstone and I. We started teaching him Strongman as a teen and now he is actually a Pro with one of the strongest Log Lifts ever to exist.

This is cool to see, its my neck of the woods. We also have Montanaris in New Haven and Bev Francis not too far away in NY.

I grew up in New Haven and it's a grand city. Familiar with Pepe's Pizza on Wooster Street? That place was started by my mother's grandfather...great pizza!

Not familiar with that gym but heard of Montanaris and heard it's badass.

Currently living in NH but still go visit CT mainly the casinos.

I lived in Wallingford and Cheshire for a bit, I’m definitely familiar with Pepe’s Pizza. Also a big fan of Modern and Bar Pizza too in New Haven. Montanaris is the Super Gym and yeah it has literally any equipment you could ever need. The brothers that run the gym i believe are also NPC judges as well as some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Awesome...didn't think Super Gym and Montanaris was the same place. Yup those are other great pizza joints as I've been to them when I was a student at Southern CT State University. Lived in New Haven, West Haven and Branford for many years till I moved to RI for 12 years and then moved back to Southbury, CT for a job transfer. I still like CT as it's my home state but now in NH it's a much different place.

I wish... No, I was jus watching Kearney's new video, he'll be competing in Rogue Classic Strongman show this month.
He (Kearney), Martins Licis and Mateus all making their return in this contest so Im looking FWD to it.
Mateusz actually did a Giants Live recently in his 1st show in 2 almost years (torn tricep) and still came in 2nd.
Would like to see him win this one...
