Day 35. Off 10/10

One of my favorite weekends of the year, Olympia weekend. Had a few friends over Friday and Saturday to watch the show. Very impressed with the line up this year, there was no clear cut winner, everyone looked great. Ramys legs made him win both side poses and both back poses, and made it very difficult for anyone to beat him. Hunter was given a look but imo I had Nick ahead of him. Ramon in classic impressed me, and Cbum took the win again.

This log has become a journal to me. It helps me reflect on my days and focus on what I can improve on.

As for some actual gear talk, this has been a great cycle so far. I’m sitting at 231lb today, a 9lb gain in 35 days. And I feel like the gaining has just begun. My appetite has slowly been increasing week after week and I know from previous cycles when my appetite peaks thats when I start gaining serious weight. Going on week 6 and this is when I really start getting hungry.

Strength has been climbing steadily just like my appetite. 135 on the bar feels lighter and lighter each week. Hit 495 on squats and deadlift this week which for me is impressive. I usually can’t hit 5 plates on both exercises in 1 week but I was just feeling it.

Besides the increased appetite and strength, I just have an overall feeling of well being. Love feeling full and puffy but am starting to get shortness of breath. My body needs to adapt to the new weight gained. When I was 245 last off season it took a good 2 months for my body to adjust, was constantly getting out of breath. Having a full stomach all the time doesn’t help.

Been on top of drinking more water, but I still miss a few throughout the day. A lot of room for improvement in the diet, but right now its all about pushing the food and climbing to 250lb.

Havn’t touched 365 on bench in a long long time. Next week going to failure on 315. Did not like going so low on the reps. But I’ve just been feeling strong. No ego because I’m training home. Just testing my limits and enjoying weight lifting. Have to have fun when you lift.

Flat Dumbbell Fly-

My spots are usually white not blue, at least you have some color lol Get that bag ready if I’m seeing spots.

I see red or white spots with yellow halos that move like shooting stars whenever I bench, dead or squat heavy plus my heart pounds pretty hard too like it's gonna jump outta my chest. Freaky!

Eye twitches I get those too, especially eyelids.


Par for the course for heavy training LOL.
 
Lol the other day after pulling heavy, my eyes got bloodshot and my mom freaked out when she saw my eyes. Managed to burst a vessel in both eyes.

Did not think I’d be able to train today but somehow found the energy. Worked 5am-1pm then 3pm-7pm. Was going to try to train between the gap, but was so hungry and ended up taking a nap and deciding to train after 7pm.

Over the weekend I went to a haunted house and corn field maze. Love Halloween. Ate a lot this weekend. And ended up weighing 234lb by the end of it.

Feeling great bro. Really enjoying this cycle. Just need to keep focusing on diet to really get the most out of it. Didn’t realize I’d be working a new job during this cycle, but I’m doing my best to adapt the situation.

Stopped there with them, those dumbbells are dangerous and I can’t throw them on the ground in my home gym.

Sick pump and great posing practice after. Really starting to get my chest to fill out during the front double. Its turning into one of my strongest poses. I always stress really flexing your chest after and really learning how to flex your chest during the front double, front lat, and side chest.

Diet was on point, weighing 235lb. Hitting the stride now. Depending how much more weight I gain I might throw a little cardio in. It gets harder to breathe when you gain weight so quickly, but 10 mins of cardio a day helps a lot.

Been feeling really good. Love those EP Anadrols, going to miss them when I come off them soon.

Finally hit the 15, 12, 10, 8, 6 rep range I wanted with the weights I wanted. Been working to hit this for awhile but was completely exhausted from that and called it. Turn a little white after that one, almost puked. Pretty much had a weak stomach the rest of the day but made protein shakes and chocolate ice cream shakes throughout the day. Man those heavy legs always get me. Will finish this workout later this week.

Day 45. Back. 10/20.

Man wanted 405 for 8 and 495 for 6 just like legs, but was shot after that. Tired from yesterdays leg day too. But thats why I always train legs before back and never back before legs. Legs are definitely more important.

Forgot I had a wedding over the weekend so knew I was going to miss tomorrows workout, so through Arms in today.

Workout-

Side Raise Superset Front Raise Superset Leg Curl

(Did that 3 times 20 reps each exercise. Thats 180 reps and finishes Shoulders and Hamstrings)

Headcrusher Superset Close Grip Superset Standing Curl

(Same concept 3 sets, 20 reps each exercise, 180 reps total)

2 triple supersets, and took a cold shower right after and could barely move, my body was so pumped. From top to bottom from this entire week. Really been getting sick pumps that last throughout the week.

Hit 236lb today. Stomach definitely slightly bloated so need to watch how much more weight I gain. Really want to get back up to 250lb, that is one of my goals this cycle. I know the scale doesn’t matter but I like seeing physical progression on my body and the scale.

Today my diet consisted of my normal 1st meal:

Meal 1-
6 eggs
2 oatmeals
1 protein shake

Then Meals 2,3,4,5 were this:

Just kept eating this over and over, making the exact same plate, chicken cutlet, potatoes, broccoli and cheese.

At night had some Milano cookies. Enjoying my food while I still can.

In 2019 I competed and dropped from 245 to 180. Never got my weight back since with the whole pandemic and bullshit going on. But now I’m finally hitting my stride in this cycle and I’m ready to push myself to the next level! And be a class higher at my next show, was so sad going below 200.

Thanks bro. I’ve trained myself over the years to get higher reps on legs, it makes your legs blow up. Next time I go to a gym I want to do 20 reps each set on the leg press, miss the leg press.

She knows my offseason look better than anyone, once I’m back in the 240’s my face gets fat and she says it reminds her of a teddy bear with my beard lol Still sitting at 236 lets see what we can do today and tomorrow. Will have to post some good food porn.
