You have ever spoken to, in real life

No tall tales

I'll go first
I don't have much:

Shaq, Bill Kazmaeir, Mariusz Pudzianowski

I guess my top two would be Tom Brady and Bill Gates. No long detailed conversations with either but you did say famous people you have spoken to.

Harrison Ford. My wife and I had lunch Ford on the set of one of his movies.

Honestly not really sure who would be the most famous. For over a decade my work allowed me to meet countless celebrities and politicians. Movies stars, musicians, television personalities, athletes, senators and presidential candidates. Have met too many to count.

Musician: Beiber
Athletes: Magic, Peyton Manning, Tiger
Actor: Eastwood
Politician: Ben Carson, Ted Cruz

Shaq is a really nice guy. One of my favorites.

Stephen King, bumped into him (literally) and his grandson in Newburyport MA a few years back... (Whack-Job)...

I used to help run the old AOBS (Strongman Dinners) in NJ, so I got to know many folks in the Iron-Game, had dinner with many:

David Prowse
Ken Patera
Bruce Wilhelm
Ric Flair
Evander Holyfield
Dave Draper
Marvin Eder
Tommy Kono
Boyer Coe (on and on)...

I grew up in California and drove for fedex for a while . I have had routes in Ventura county and delivered to part of west lake so would see will smith and jada and than was in Montecito and would go to Oprah’s house daily . Never did see her or even the house . We had to deliver to the guards at the back gate . Also had Jeff bridges and Kathy Ireland .

Met Paul Walker while we were both trying on boots, really cool guy. On the other hand my ex gf was neighbor's with John Travolta in FL. Big time fuckin asshole.

Got to meet Celine Dion(sp?)at a charity concert/dinner. Pretty Hot

Met Mike Tyson a bunch of times at fights

A ton of other boxers and MMA dudes. The most famous would be Manny Pac. Sorry spelling sucks.

Vegas Baby!

Lol

In order of appearance:

The original marlboro man (the guy who used to do the TV commercials)
Charles Bronson (A total dickhead IRL)
The entire band Areosmith (my mother delivered one of their wive's babies)
A tribal king from Kenya (forgot his name - live across the street)
Lee Majors & Farrah Faucet (back when they were married)
Ernest Borgnine (fun guy)
Chin (from Haiwaii 5-0 on a cruise)
Dan Ackroyd (in the Boothill Saloon, Daytona Beach, FL. Shot the shit and bought each other drinks for over an hour while talking about motorcycles and property we both owned in upstate NY)
Henry Rollins (a few times at gigs)
Many pro skateboarders and surfers (Kelly Slater etc., too many to list)
John Glenn
Jack Nickolaus (had a condo next door at Sawgrass)

I'm sure that there's others I'm forgetting. Yeah, I've got a ton of stories.

Pope John Paul II

and Bill Clinton, at the same time. Just a handshake and hello back in 1998

Musicians: Hetfield and the guitarist of Faith No More, Craig Chaquico, Neal Schon, Leather Leon and a long relationship with Dimbag and most of the Pantera crew as I knew them from 1983 D/FW club scene.

Actors: Robin Williams most notably, at a sporting goods store in Marin. I am sure there were more but those “stars” are everywhere in Marin, just like the rock stars.
Ernest Borgnine on the set of Gattaca. He came over and struck up a conversation with me. Super cool, regular guy. No one recognized him in the janitor coveralls.

Athletes: I guess Bill Kazmier, Ted Arcidi, Lee Haney a couple of times, actually a shitload of Olympians in SoCal in the late 80s. Last year Lee Labrada. I speak with Berry DeMey on a regular basis via texting. Many American moto racers when I was racing.

Politicians: I was best man at the wedding of a recent undersecretary of energy. That wedding was a who’s who. But I had a long talk with Tom Ridge. Very good man from what I could tell.

Never been the star struck type but meeting famous people is pretty cool.

I think one of the reasons I've gotten along so well with the ones I've met is because I don't fawn all over them. I just talk to them like a regular person and I believe they appreciate that.

I met Ernst Borgnine in an airport. I was sitting with a bunch of my Navy buddies and we were waiting for a flight. I saw him walk by and yelled out, "Hey Ernie, how you been?" I got up and gave him a big hug like we were long lost friends. He fell right into character and played along like we knew each other from way back in the day. Had a few rounds of drinks together and finally one of my buddies caught on and called us out. Had some good laughs and great time was had by all. Fun times back then.

I’ve met a few and didn’t realize it cuz I don’t give a shit. Aint none of ‘em ever fed, clothed or housed my family. Most of them are delicate little attention whores that can’t handle the real world. Lol

fuck ‘em all.

Haha right...never understood the fascination with celebrities. Funniest thing is when they ask if you want a picture with them and you ask ...why? 😂

I’ll tell you one thing, some of them have a presence, incredible energy that normal folks don’t. You could be engrossed in a movie and Dime would walk into the room unseen but you could feel the room light up.
He was the most un-celebrity I knew. Just a regular fucker who loved doing what he did and never seemed to grasp what he had to offer for all of us.
When we reunited in 1992 in San Diego while they were on tour with Skid Row he was all excited because we hadn’t seen each other since 1984. I think he just thought it was cool seeing a Danceland/Saavy’s guy from “way back” (lol”).
I moved to the Bay Area and their camp must have heard because there were tickets and passes waiting for me without me even calling anyone. Any time they played near me I always had passes waiting for me plus a bag of swag.
When some of the crew went on to different bands, they continued to hook me up. Last one was Ozzfest VA Beach while I was in pre-deployment in Norfolk 2006.
Not your average celebrity snobs.

Dave Mustaine of Megadeth,(actually met many rock/metal musicians in the 90's to mid 2000's literally hundreds) but he's prob the best well known.
Met many athletes, Such as Rey Maualuga (he's legit a good guy if a bit immature) Jim Breech, Carson Palmer and on and on.... could name 20 easy from NFL alone
I have met many porn stars too... Jasmine St Claire, Ron Jeremy etc.... I mean I couldn't even tell you all their names these days.
I once got blowed out with Travis Meeks from Days of the New on Coke. I couldn't even tell you how I met him that day I was too fucked up... We partied for 3 days in somebodies house that neither of us knew...lol

The whys? Part of the largest cocaine ring in the midwest, you met people...
My brother owned a recording studio and his band opened for many of these bands,
Wife and sister own a sports pub and many current and ex athletes come in and grab a brew.

This exactly. I never cared they were "stars".... Treated them just like I would anybody else.

Forgot one guy I met... Back when I was training Boxing, the coach that trained me also trained Rich Franklin. The Coach rented a building from a guy Named Red who owned a machine shop in front of said building. I was standing on the back dock looking out and here comes this prick looking MFer.... I had stopped training at this point. So I did not know who this guy was.... but he gave me a nasty look, and I did the same and gave "CHHHHHUUHHH" and fuck you look....Imagine my surprise when I saw that guy kicking ass in the UFC just a few months later BWHAHAHAHAH!!!

To be fair….. hanging out with the abbot family (dimebag, vinny, their father) would be cool.. I never really saw good musicians who don’t virtue signal or tell people how to feel about life as celebrities… musicians (real ones) are a different breed.

I guess I come off a little harsh but like selfmademonster said… most of them are nothing and would have nothing else if it weren’t for bored middle class blue collar citizens… they should be kissing our asses and asking for our damn autographs instead of running their face holes about shit they ain’t gotta clue.

A lot of them already come from money too … seems their all related … they literally play dress up and pretend while everyday people without a pot to piss in are out here saving lives and lending a hand to their communities in need… they are the real heroes.

this country (not everyone) but a lot of people have an unhealthy view of celebrities.

that ol idiot box did a number on us. I guess we should feel grateful that we have time to ponder who the next idiot Hollywood douches are hooking up with or getting divorced from.

no offense to anyone honestly. I just can’t stand celebrities at all anymore. Seems they’re all a bunch of frauds.

Darrel Strawberry. I don’t even like baseball but what a story he has. Great guy.

I really think it comes down to money, the people I know who are overly interested in celebrities and famous people are usually the ones most impressed with money and the lifestyle. I do understand the appreciation for talents and accomplishments though...I would love to meet guys like Adam Orenstein (Kyle Kushman) or other fellas who excel at the work or hobbies that are of interest to me, thats aways a treat to be able to pick the brains of those you can learn from

At the time probable Bo Jackson! I mean it could have been a few guys. I use to work for a crab house. Called
Bud Paolino's was very well known. After all the big games football or baseball even boxing matches. The players would often times come in to eat.. met many many people when I was young in highschool.

Read this article. You will see how everyone flocked to Bud Paolino's. It was only around the corner from my home. It really wasn't many places like this. Actors , politician, sports players, anyone who was anyone would come in.
