    Question Sex Ed

    Found a nice joke:
A father asked his ten year old son if he knew about the birds and the bees. “I don’t want to know,” the child said, bursting into tears. “Promise me you won’t tell me.” The dad was perplexed. “Why don’t you want to know?”

“When I was six, I got the ‘there’s no Easter bunny speech.’ When I was seven, I got the ‘there’s no Tooth Fairy’ speech. When I was eight, you hit me with there being no Santa. If you’re going to tell me that grown-ups don’t really get laid, I have nothing to live for!”

Teenagers certainly seem to know more about sex than we used to at their age. So, the question is, is there still need to talk to them about sex, or leave it all to google?

Definitely do NOT leave your child's education about ANYTHING up to the internet.

In the modern world, this is quite difficult. Almost any information is accessible and kids spend more time surfing the net than in the real world.

There's software, etc you can install to block all that on any device. It works up until the age the hormones kick in. And then you can't pry them away from it with a 6 foot iron pry bar.

I told my son about basic sex stuff...he was embarrassed.

But there was a lot he didn't know.

At the end, I asked him if there was anything he didn't understand. And he said he didn't understand the "condom" thing. lolz

I think it's important to teach early. Teen pregnancy will fuck up lives. Having kids is a beautiful thing, when your ready. Not at 16 years old.

When my Mom developed cancer she would google her symptoms and most of the time it would say she had something deadly and it would scare the hell out of her. Don’t google your symptoms!

Talk to your kids about sex and how important it is for a kid to have a mommy and a daddy.

You can limit and forbid, but remember yourself as a child. Any ban only raised your interest. If he wants to, he will still find what he is looking for. And do not forget about his peers who are not limited by their parents and can share their new knowledge.

I completely agree with you. No point in hiding information, being open and honest will take the focus off the forbidden fruit.

Yeah, googling symptoms is a bad idea, the same as kids googling for sex info. He is bound to find some dirty stuff and it may scare him
