Another day, another story about people's right to speak their mind being infringed upon...Canada to Make Online Hate Speech a Crime Punishable by $16,000 Fine (gizmodo.com)

Granted, this is not the US, but they are our neighbor to the North and aren't much different than we are.

Lol and this is the best part, quoted from the article;

Instead, Lametti said, the law is only designed to punish the most extreme forms of hatred that “expresses detestation or vilification of a person or group on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.”

So don't worry, you're still allowed to speak you mind, just so long as it doesn't fit into the parameters of what is considered unacceptable by the current administration/ruling party's standards.

What's freedom of speech again? I forgot the guidelines associated to the definition of "Free Speech". Glad our governments are dictating & defining it for us.
