Steroid trend on the rise with older men vs young adults?

Your thoughts on this topic..

Over the years with my involvement in AAS I seen the generation getting younger and younger and more reckless with the desire to use AAS at all cost to achieve and look bigger with younger adults, late teens.. However, in the past 3-4 years I have witness a drastic shift in the ratio and age group when it pertains to "starting AAS use"..

More and more I'm seeing and hearing/learning that more men in their 40's and even mid to late 50's are taking up the anabolic craze, in search of youth, sex drive all while doing some pretty decent compounds at some considerable dosages..

I've met men who have had life long achievements, great success, careers, family and all, and are just NOW deciding to take the plunge into hormones outside of therapeutic treatment, in fact using multi compounds as if in their prime..

Tren, high test, vars, winny and even nandrolone are becoming common stacks for these older lions..

Aside from the health concerns, I'm supportive if this is the ultimate decision one makes after doing everything else in life and not much else to achieve, fuck it, why not get yoked like a young bloke? There's risks, and we can go all day with this, yet that's not stopping the growing trend and ratio.. I can say in all honesty, I know more mature adult males who've taken the plunge, all or nothing and are looking like some fucking studs.. The mature mindset alone with the realization that research needs to be done, I'm seeing more success from these fellows compared to young "I want it NOW" kind or guys, compared to mature men who actually are doing the leg work to achieve goals..

Has anyone else noticed the shift in AAS usage with men in their 40-50's compared to young 20's?

One thing that screwed males in the US, they made testosterone a schedule 3 drug. Also, our hormone replacement therapy called TRT/HRT/Andropause or Viropause was not even recognized for decades! Female HRT has 40 years on us! “ Ma’am you probably have pre- or peri menopausal, here’s some hormones!” Same Doctor to a guy, “ I don’t prescribe testosterone! It will give you a heart attack and shrink your penis! You need to go to a $800 appointment with an endocrinologist(who won’t preach it either because he is told testosterone is an addictive drug and he has some bio-identical cream he sells!” Oh, your appointment is in 7months and I
Am going to use the psychological method of questions (along with anything you filled out before hand)taught to them for drug seekers! I never have seen someone rob banks or steal at gunpoint for a shot of test!

Info & little info and my venting below: (lol)

In the United States between 2001 and 2011. Only 2.23 percent of men in the U.S. aged 40 years and over are prescribed TRT. It raised to a peak of only 4.4%-5.2% currently. This is terrible as it is well known that testosterone in men has been steadily declining. We(the General public males) are under diagnosed, given or have low, poor, and even incorrect/biased information on testosterone therapies. Even young men can now need TRT but they won’t even consider it unless it is a liberal TRT facility/telemedicine. The current methods of testing and the physicians view(and the liability) is so skewed!! There are many reason why doctors are reluctant. Total bullshit but it is what it is.

The health insurance companies and Doctor Associations, the DEA/FDA, committees like WADA/IOC along with amateur sports, like the Olympics and professional sports associations made a major impact on why men are under prescribed testosterone therapy! The letters and emails that go out to all US physicians stating “NEW PRESCRIBING PROTOCOLS for TESTOSTERONE” by their accreditation groups and insurance are so off base and fucked up. I read them! Also, how they demonized anything that is used for non-disease(HIV/AIDS/Cachexia/MS/MD and others) performance enhancement, is just ridiculous. They have completely safe compounds that can improve muscle mass, burn fat, fix obesity and type 2 diabetes. A ton of anabolic compounds, hormones:non-hormones, natural isolated parts of plants/and animal secretions, sarms, recombinant- biological, synthetics have been discovered and successful but, we never get to see them come to market. They have not approved any new anabolic and even quit making almost all of them! Compounding pharmacies are the only way to get nandrolone Decanoate. Watson/Savient who made name brand/generic Deca completely stopped all production in late 2006 so they could only offer Oxandrolone to HIV/AIDS patients, which cost $2k-$10 a month compared to $150 at the time. Sick!

Read the American Urological Association’s new guidelines for prescribing testosterone(it is pathetic). I won’t post it because it is long !
*Basically 300 is fine for all men(not even checking free test/prolactin/estradiol).
* Clinicians should discuss the cessation(taking them off)of testosterone therapy three to six months after commencement of treatment in patients who experience normalization of total testosterone levels.(again: no other tests)
*They are told to instantly deny if you mention ED(which isn’t covered by insurance now).
*Any minor problem with about 30 factors on your test disqualifies you from getting it
*Age can instantly disqualify you!
[Mind you I have been hypogonadal since 17yrs old and have had a prescription. Use of PED’s was probably responsible].
This was just the tip of the iceberg.
They show that wether you are 30 or 70 year old...,a 300 is fine. One plus is that they did tell physicians that injectable were appropriate for cost reasons.

Sperm count in the US has declined by over 50% from 1973 to present. FACT!
From 1999 to 2019, testosterone levels have declined in adolescent and young adult men (AYA), according to results presented at the 2020 American Urological Association.
“Overall male testosterone decline can be attributed to multiple etiologies. The United States has an aging population with older males exhibiting lower testosterone levels. Furthermore, overall population has an increase in comorbidities, including diabetes, which may have cause this testosterone decrease nationally,” Soum Lokeshwar, MD, MBA, incoming urology resident at Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut, said during a press briefing.

All physicians can and do prescribe “OFF-LABEL” medicines. Gh, ghrh, secretogogues, peptides can be prescribed and are, you just have to find the Council on Anti-Aging affiliate physicians/centers, super knowledgeable but some are scammers. All visits can be done over your phone/computer/tablet.

All I know is I still look better than 90% of men over 30..

Hells Yeah. Both my parents are in better shape than most of the younger people at their gym. I go with them sometimes and just walking around town, seems that teens are bigger than their parents in a lot of cases . Also, I see heavy girls wearing tiny bikinis and belly shirts w guts and they “I guess in their head” think their sexy! Idk if the norm is to be overweight or what. I don’t mind a thick girl but if the belly is bigger than the hips...it is just unattractive(to me). I have seen my mom get better and better, I see they definitely are a lot more health conscious than when they were in their 30’s. People are going to live longer because being fifty now looks waaay different than when I see pics of my grandparents friends at the same age. Just an observation. At the gym, a lot of the men that are of an advanced age impress me. One construction guy(roofer/tree removal) comes in(at their gym) and trains in his jeans and work boots /work t shirt and he is a thin-ish guy but prolly 49-52 and is super cut and fit looking . He definitely smokes and drinks beer cuz I saw him out before. He told me, “ I train everyday, no matter what for 30-40min, no time for cardio”. I was impressed because I rarely go to their gym and whenever I visit, that dude is training, In and out! Especially after working in the heat all day!

I think trt is the reason you see more older guys starting aas late in life. I literally found ASF on my quest for trt. Usage, protocols, sides, etc everything was openly talked about here. Nothing was taboo. And there was a wealth of info (way more than docs could/would offer). I think a lot of older guys discover pinning isn't such a big deal. And once you get a taste, you want more. Plain and simple.

It doesn't hurt when girls half your age (or maybe a third) notice, make comments, and start touching. It's the ego boost of all ego boosts. Please pass the tren.

I see this all the time and it baffles me. I live near a private college and you see girls with their bellies hanging out all the time. Like...no big deal and flaunting it in some cases. I think as long as there is a short line of dudes that like to bang these chicks, it makes it more the norm.

When we were younger we were feed a bunch of lies about how steroids will make you go insane and ultimately kill you. Now we have more reliable information on steroids and are financially stable to purchase what we need.

Guys in their 50-60s and " yes" even 70s want to feel and look good too -maybe more so than some of the youngsters - don't get me wrong there is guys that are older that " seem" to love riding a scooter shopping and look and feel like shit .Getting older is a daily battle - but with hormone in your body -we embrace those battles !! Thanks

I will say this in like 2000, when anyone asked me if I used gear, I always said yes. And if you asked the majority of guys back then, they all said NO. Even the most juiced guys were scared to death to admit it. The fact I was honest got me a ton of Clients, bc they needed to know how to use, etc, etc.

So I became a source of knowledge based on honesty. I still have many of those clients 20 years later.

But most guys saw it as shameful or cheating and they were afraid to admit it.

Fast forward to about 2010+ the whole dynamic changed. Now guys are beyond open about use and bragging about it.

Fast forward to 2015, thats when I noticed the change where guys were now calling full blown Cycles TRT or HRT. And bragging about using 1g of tren per week Hey man Im on HRT, im only using 500mgs of Test weekly. Idiots.

To me the last era we are currently in, is the dumbest of all.

It has somehow become acceptable to have zero knowledge of steroids, or PCT and not only use but abuse dosages. Also to act like an expert after your first cycle.

IML Gear Cream!
I took stupid GNC supplements for years in search of steroid like effects.

Started gear low dose test at 42 years old.

I know plenty of guys my age who use gear to look as best they can for their age.

Govt would rather have us take viagra then make gear easy to get. Fuck that shit...not growing old gracefully.

There's a lot of great feedback here and everyone has a lot of valid points and perspectives.
There really isn't one specific reason why things have went in this direction but I think we can all agree on multiple factors that have influenced things.
The truth is, no one wants to get old and historically some of the greats, Kings and rulers of lands throughout history have went on conquests just to preserve their youth, some of it was done through very sinister ways and other ways was simply just madness and desperation. We are no different today than that similar mindset back when, with a few alterations of our goals obviously LOL. Nonetheless we want to retain our youth and sense of well-being.

There was a documentary I recall watching dating way back hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years where kings were drinking Mercury and bathing in it, I can't make this shit up.

Ponce De Leon searched for the fountain of youth about 600 years ago.... shit hasn’t changed.

In my circles there are more men using that are over 40-45 than a few years ago, for sure.

Some stick to TRT levels, and some use more substances. Perhaps it is the people I know but most seem to be more risk-adverse than the young crowd (up the tren), and will stick to test, primo, low-dose GH, maybe a little bit of MENT. Also most of us are diligent with getting regular blood work.

Another factor to mention about the older guys..is what compounds they no longer use..the to much risk vs reward one's..
Few still use Tren...Drol and others..while some still dabble in the shark tank..

Several good points in this thread. We can educate ourselves so much better now instead of just getting the “STEROIDS ARE EVIL” on loop. Being financially stable and having more control over my schedule since the pandemic doesn’t hurt either.
