Who here has had prostate issues ? Two weeks ago I had surgery, I had two hernias repaired and also had hemorrhoidectomy . Well right after the surgery before I could go home they want you to piss and I couldn’t so had to get a catheter to drain me before I could leave . After another couple er visits I know don’t have a cath but had the worst trouble and severe pain to nonstop and up every hour trying to empty my bladder .

I am now on flowmax twice a day and am pretty normal but the dr is telling me that my prostate was swollen before the surgery, I’m not sure since I have never had a problem using the bathroom before . What are some things that I can do or need to change to have a healthy prostate ? I have not taken any gear in two weeks , I am on self trt 200mg test a week . I am waiting for a referral to a urologist might just get an actual test prescription this time being that I am 40 and have been on test for years .

But whatever it is, I hope you ge it fixed up soon.
I just take some "Now Nutrition" Prostate Support pills, not sure if it does much, I just do it as Im getting old...

Bro I had the hemorrhoidetomy in February and have had issues ever since. I feel for you and I hope you’re past week one. Did you have it banned or cut?

You can start taking 20 grams of fiber each day and slow the gear usage down until things are under control. I’m staying on trt and using more HgH. Some ppl like us get the worse side of things and others get nothing. Life’s a bitch!
 
Saw palmetto(Permixon is the strongest part amd is sold as a drug in some countries),
Beta-sitosterol,
Pygeum,
Rye grass pollen extract,
Stinging nettle are the main few.

A new SARM compound is being developed to improve quality of life (sexually/other) after prostatectomy. They also have found many new novel compounds: sarm or parts of sarms ; that are able to help a lot and even improve prostate health. Hopefully they actually approve one! They keep not approving sarms because they know they are going to be used as PEDS. Gtx, acceleron, shire, and Viking didn’t put $500million in research to have them all just shut down. It is usually because they are trying to improve a major disease/affliction line muscular dystrophy. They still were shown to be highly effective! Some new ones are strong enough to replace TRT and without the androgenic sides like gyno or prostate issues.

I had them stapled and some cut out . Two years ago I had them bands and they came back so when I had the hernias I decided to get them taken care of since I will be down from work for a while . The dr tried to talk me out of having both done at the same time because of pain and well I should have listened. I am two weeks past the operation and isn’t too bad now to be honest

Try ordering a Cath and doing it yourself? When I run high Test, my bladder won’t empty, even though I take preventive supplements and low dose cialis. High Test results in my prostate enlarging. During the day it’s a non issue, I just go more frequently and dribble out as much as I can. However, at night, it would have me waking up several times. Therefore, I took matters into my own hands and no night-time bathroom calls.

Obviously, I am on top of my health and have no underlying prostate hx. Rule that out and do it yourself. They are just as cheap as pins.

A swollen prostate.....before surgery?

You have some issues that need to be addressed.

Have you checked your PSA levels lately? Had a recent digital prostate examination?

This is serious shit and I would not talk to an ER doctor. They don't know shit. It's hard enough to find a doctor that specializes in urology that knows his shit not to mention an ER doctor.

I have had a prostate exam by the dr that I saw for the hemorrhoids not too long ago and she found the umbilical hernia and I was going to let it go because it wasn’t bothering me but a couple of weeks ago is when I had a nasty tearing in my abs and that was another tear . This one hurt so I got a scan and had another hernia . I am looking at all of my bloods and am not seeing psa tested anywhere unfortunately. She has told me that the prostate was swollen when they went in to operate and I guess it swelled up more . I am seeing her again this week to get cleared back to work but obviously no lifting. She did try and get me scheduled with the urologist that she knows I will make sure to get an application.

I really wasn’t pressing the issue right now since a finger in my ass isn’t going to happen for a couple of weeks but will see him and get some bloods . I’m sure he will say something about my non existent test levels. I haven’t pinned in three weeks and was only on 250 before that .

do those catheters feel the same as the foley ? My god that thing hurt when they put it in . I took it out myself without any issues but going in was a different experience

Easier than pinning. I have several sizes, 12f, 14f, 16f and a 20f that I ordered from medvet. Take a barrel and fill it with 1-2cc of ky jelly and insert before putting in the cath. 1st time is weird, but there after is a breeze. And the relief of emptying your entire bladder before bed is awesome. I don’t have any underlying issues, and if that ends up being the case for you, this could benefit you.

Dude I’ve had all the same surgeries. The double umbilical hernia and the hemorrhoids. I’ve also had a abscess from the hemorrhoids. I never had any other prostate issues but after all that I’m scared now.

Damn man sucks the hemorrhoids were brutal for me . I would wake up early like three to shit and soak in the bath for relief that way I could get to work by five to be in pain till around lunch every day

FloMax terrifies me. I tried that, on my Dr.s advice, and shortly there after, during sex, I came and NOTHING came out. NOTHING. I found out this is a common side affect. That was the end of FloMax for me.

Lol that hasn’t happened to me but I haven’t really been doing much since the surgery and haven’t been able to see the dr . The next appointment isn’t till the end of June and I am almost two months in with no test . I am going to see about getting a script . It shouldn’t be a problem since I have been pretty much blasting and cruising or more like blasting and than 300 a week for the last ten years . I have not even tried to take anything for pct this time around . I am pretty curious on just how low I am . Besides the low sex drive I feel pretty good coming off of everything and my bp has gone down almost 20 points . I am definitely re-evaluating the gear that I run dosages and time off .
