I do it all the time. They will refuse me if I say my trt doc told me to donate. They know I am on prescription test, but if the doc orders it they refuse me. If I just go to donate out of the kindness of my heart, they accept the donation.

One Blood tests your hemoglobin levels before donating by putting a tiny circular device on your thumb that measures it. This happens when they are checking pulse, temperature and you are filling out the questionnaire.

Your hemoglobin levels are 18 which, I believe, is right near the max they will accept. If your levels are closer to 19 there is a very good chance they will turn you away. They have official "cut offs".

Yes, you should donate SOON. My advice would be too stop injecting whatever gear you are on, heavily hydrate, eat basic foods low in iron and try to make an appointment within the next 2-3 days. This should hopefully allow your hemoglobin to stabilize at 18, maybe move down a slightly.....I dunno.

    Best of luck!

Hemo above 20 where I live is the cutoff. You’re fine at 18 to donate

Not sure if this helps but some guys have made the claim that they have stated that they're donating their blood for research purposes and that worked out great for them.. I haven't done that myself but I'm just passing on to you what other brothers said worked well for them.

Very interesting. I will go this route if they are leaning toward turning me away. It will be my Hail Mary lol

Red Cross cutoff is 20... just gave whole blood yesterday as my hgb was 17.9 and no has been running high. Give power reds if u can as they extract twice the rbcs they say.
