There is no way to deal with it because it's a poker game that all you can do is raise and bluff. You can never fold ? Death smiles at us all, and all a man can do is smile back
I do like the Japanese take on it. They have no word for coward, or surrender. Every man is responsible for the time and manner of his death. There is no shame to run away, to fight another day, or to fight to the bitter end of his life. It's all just his responsibility to decide.

My personal favorite is Jesus Christ said " Don't cry for me, I go to a better place, I go to the Father ". That I take to mean that this life is the struggle, the after life is the reward ?
