Hell, everyone here is a "Bodybuilder", the only difference between everyone is the amount effort or drive.

Some guys like to look good for a while then don't give a shit.

There are great physiques on the forum though.

    Killionb12
    Coach cabo
    Hj2
    Ggg
    Wesley
    KILLABE (needs some legs still)
    Nightened
    Mr green
    Sherk
    Hfo3
    Rehh

    I'm sure I'm forgetting plenty.

Plenty of guys have the knowledge, sometimes they just don't give a shit how they look.

It's the old perception that you don't have to have a great physique to be a good coach. No you don't have to have one currently but, imo, you had better have had one in the past. If not, you can't relate.
There are a lot of "gym rats" on gear here. Majority of ppl on steroids are just that... all though I don't have exact numbers.

For me? A bodybuilder may not be someone who is in top shape all the time (many top pros do photo shoots for covers directly after a contest). More a mindset. A lifestyle. And a discipline to avoid straying off a clean diet.

Like someone said earlier, not a guy who is drinking 4 days a week and always on a dirty bulk justifying burger king.

I wish I had the discipline to live this way bc I know I put in a lot of effort in the gym and would look better if my bf% was lower. I tell myself I will do better this summer, next year, whatever.

    I hate myself for it.

I definitely drink too much and snack at night too much. Otherwise I am pretty good. But my metabolism can't overcome the extra calories.

Genetics play a big role too. We all know guys who are lax on their diets and still have a six pack.

Yeah I've never claimed to be anything I'm not.

Anyhow, I'm over the whole thing. It's pointless and I have work to do.

At least my story is out there. I'll probably copy that over to my log so guys can see it. Hopefully it can help someone. That's all I'm really here for anyways

No worries Skip, I don't think anyone was offended, I certainly wasn't. It was a real question. As far as i know, there is no one size fits all definition as to what defines a BB. So technically, anyone who puts in time to develop their physique and pursue a specific goal, and lives a "BB lifestyle," would be considered a bodybuilder.

from personal experience I know you dont have to be addicted to drugs and alcohol to fall out of shape. I'm like Oprah myself. Drop weight, gain weight. Definitely yoyo- For me, I guess it is just bad priorities but has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol. I dont do drugs and I rarely drink now.

Seems like I've seen him do this a half dozen times. I always wonder why he works so hard to diet, train and get in shape then throw all that hard work out the window and get fat again. I'm thinking drug and alcohol addiction? Maybe Garlic will let us know????

Youíre good at lifting things up, big fucking deal.

for me, and most every normal guy, we want to get hand jobs and blow jobs more frequently... so we incorporate weight lifting so those opportunities come our way more often.

Iíve played competitive sports all my life (even adult rec league)... I ainít trying to be the best at working out haha

I can appreciate those that do love bodybuilding because they pass on a lot of knowledge through there own experiences that are invaluable. But sometimes life happens and you cannot put the time and effort into this lifestyle even if you want to.

id much rather be good at fathering then look stage ready 4 times a year. Just my two cents.

then you got that crowd thatíll say you have no business juicing if your not competing.... thatís another good one.

i got an idea tho... letís all have fun while weíre alive. Letís use each other to better ourselves (I.e. networking) and letís lift each other up instead of smash each other down. (Except for liberals, smashing them is fine).

    love you all, love MK

Let me chime in here. You can be dedicated to the life. Meaning train hard, control diet BUT still live life and have some drinks or cheat occasionally. I train hard 5 days a week, diet is clean always.....but the wife and I like to have a few glasses of red wine a couple nights a week. Judge me if you want. I keep abs and feeel great all the time. I donít compete but understand the complete discipline needed to step on the stage ďreadyĒ. For the rest of us former athlete, gym rats that like to look good naked......relax and enjoy life a little. Just my 2 cents
