I wasn't sure which sub-forum to post this in, so I posted it here because I am a TRT patient for life and the topic may be correlated to my question. Now is it coincidence or not, is the question, regarding HCG usage and annoying thrush in my throat. A while back I asked my doctor to prescribe me Pregnyl, I was honest with him to what I needed it for, estrogen crashes and to well...get my nuts back into their original size ( don't laugh ) However here is the thing, before I started on the HCG I never had thrush, didn't even know such an ailment existed, I knew about yeast infections, but I had no clue it was the same fungus type. So I started searching the web for others who are also on steroids, possibly use HCG and have problems with thrush, and indeed I found a few hits of some guy with the same issue as me, recurring thrush infections, and ones that kept on and on without letting up. So whats the deal here guys ? I noticed that pregnant women are susceptible to Candidiasis which got me to thinking, the preggo test, is a basic test for presence of HCG in urine, could that correlate somehow to hormonal imbalance and those darn fungi attacking me ? Since I am here I also wanted to ask if long term testosterone usage has any negative effect on immunity, like corticosteroids? Also in the wiki page for candidiasis, it says corticosteroids may be a factor in causing thrush, but no mention of sex steroids.
I think this is my 4th infection in the last few months, they usually last 2 weeks, I don't have HIV/AIDS, my immune system is working ok and no g/f to catch it from. Any thoughts ?
I forgot to mention my doses of HCG 500 Units Mon,Wed,Fri
