this is probably my biggest issue. i wake up every single night after a couple hours of sleep and stay awake for 3-4 more hours because i can not go back to sleep. hopefully i can sort this out because i know it is having an effect on my muscle regeneration.

Insomnia is a side effect of overtraining, FYI...

lol oh man i wish i had never said i train 4 hours somedays every week. i am definitely knowing about it. but you are cool i know you are not trying to give me a hard time you never have since i have been here. i know you are just trying to give me a tip. honestly do plan to take it down to 2 hours all the time once my weight gets down where i want it. my workout routines started long because i was just trying to do all i could to help lose fat weight.

I work swing shifts and it keeps my sleep all jacked up . I average 3-5 hrs most days. Also been working way to many hrs and missing a few workouts.

I've had sleep apnea pretty bad for years, and didn't even know it. I couldn't figure out why I only sleep for two hours and then wake up more tired than I was when I went to sleep. I snore a lot, and I also stop breathing in my sleep, and sometimes wake up gasping for air. I had a sleep study done at the hospital, and they diagnosed my problem. I hope to get a CPAP mask soon. I'm convinced that my sleep apnea has hindered my gains for a long time now. I'm always tired, and it often takes me 12 hours to get 6 hours of sleep since I keep on waking up, and I don't even drink coffee

Try yoga....I know it sounds gay but itís like meditation and stretching combined. Definitely helps to reduce stress. I havenít found drugs that help me sleep but if you can relax your mind you will definitely sleep better. Xanax used to help but canít get a RX.

Stress is a major cause of sleep issues. I use a good powder (Mummified - Killer Labz) and also take 2 Aleeve PM on many nights to go with it.
Helps w/ my disc pain and helps me sleep. On weekends, wife and I drink, so the booze helps me avoid those other pills/powders. Not healthy, I know, but neither is insomnia...
