anything over 30 grams of protein in less than 5 hours is useless?

i know i said it is a different article but is about something similar i still can not find the article i read it was years ago and was something i think out of some magazine about a study at the mayo clinic. i just linked those so everyone could see sort of what i was talking about.

There is one study...demonstrates the efficacy of ingesting 30 grams of protein bc anything more then that doesn't provide much more additional benefit.

I always think back to the days before refrigeration/ freezers when people had to eat as much as they could when they could. How did men get huge then? Protein wasn't so readily available.

i read a lot of history books like a lot also i am pretty good into culinary and food anthropology. i do know that people back before they could keep food from spoiling through refrigeration had ways to preserve food a couple being salting/curing and pickling yes they even pickled meats. but lots of men would keep slim not really by choice for vanity reasons but because most did labor and hard work and did not have the money to eat a lot. of course rich people who were sedentary a lot could get big because of wealth and lack of need to work but none were working out back in those days. i did read however that there were men working out weight lifting as far back as the nineteenth century and some would drink cream and eat mutton a lot but their understanding of nutrition was so low and it was really just more of a calf gets big and strong off milk so we can too.

Isnít it correct though that leucine helps with absorption?

    Not additional benefit.... protein synthesis.
.25-.3 gms per kg/BW promotes protein synthesis in young healthy men but the elderly need more. (Moore, et al.)

Leucine is the only amino acid that triggers mTOR. It increases protein synthesis.
