    Excellent read on alcohol

    Give this a read.

As most of you know, I'm a huge advocate of abstinence from alcohol and drugs. For those who take this lifestyle of AAS seriously, it's imperative to abstain from this stuff...it just doesn't help our goals...my two cents💪

I read the article...I take most studies with a grain of salt. I find your comments interesting though. Your passion about abstaining from alcohol and drugs, but aas is okay. Sounds backwards. what would you say is more safe....a glass or two of wine a day, or a couple of 8-12 week cycles a year. A no brainer for me.

I just discovered this video from another member.

When it comes to advice for AAS I think this TRT doctor has got it right:

As to alcohol, plenty of people have drinks on a regular basis and do not have half the problems we encounter (Lipids, liver enzymes, high RBC, hematocrit, etc.) while using AAS.

Anyways, it comes down to what you are okay with.

Good question. Again....as I stated below...these are my two cents. If one wants to drink or use drugs then so be it. My passion is the abstinence of the combo while using AAS. To me it's ignorance. Why use these drugs when they work the exact opposite of ones goals while on AAS. Drugs and alcohol wreak havoc on hormone levels. Certain AAS can be used safely in comparison to alcohol and drugs. As for studies, meta analysis is the best true picture. I'll also add that I think PCT is extremely harmful....again this is my two cents. After over 20 years of use, I've come to these conclusions. We can agree to disagree, it's all good.

I get your point Skip. I just think folks who use AAS alongside drugs alcohol are asking for trouble. That is my main point.

    I think drinking isn't healthy.

At 48 I notice that if I have a few days of drinking, my skin looks worse. And my face gets bloated???WTF

If I could figure out why my face gets bloated that would be great Mostly with hard alcohol. Wine does this much less.

I rarely drink and when I do it's for a celebratory toast or an occasional glass of wine or something. Once every few months and when I'm blasting I never do. No particular reason why other than I like the way I feel on a good blast and don't change things in the middle. As strange as it may sound I really like water, the colder the better.

I will say alcohol is very detrimental to gains while on AAS.

Probably the most counterproductive thing you can do.

Alcohol kills protein synthesis based on what I have read.

Earlier this year I dropped all drinking while on a cut and that made a world of difference in my opinion.

Only thing worse is bad diet.

I need to drop In/Out but I refuse to bow to that level of insanity😂
