What is caber?
Cabergoline is a dopamine agonist. It works by occupying the dopamine receptors in the pituitary gland (PG), thus reducing the amount of prolactin released from the gland. Both Dopamine and Cabergoline have this effect.
However....for reasons still not quite known, when you run 19nor type steroids your PG releases a lot more prolactin than normal. There seems to be a reduction in dopamine activity when using these compounds, so your dopamine receptors remain unoccupied leaving them open for prolactin stimulating hormones like estrogen. Estrogen also fits inside the dopamine receptor and has the opposite effect, telling your PG to produce prolactin. Cabergoline will block estrogen from acting upon these receptors keeping your prolactin at bay.

Why is too much prolactin bad?
