Drink plenty of water, keep your blood pressure good. The blood pressure is the silent killer mostly because of the damage it does to your kidneys

This....from my research high blood pressure is #1 contributing factor to kidney failure.

Interesting. I'll check out the ingredients and look into it

I had my bp get jacked up and my doc got concerned about my kidney function as the lab from my physical indicated the equivalent of Stage 3 kidney disease, when I don't really have symptoms. Definitely I keep the water intake high. May make use of bp meds for my next cycle to control blood pressure. Any recommendation for cheap but effective meds? I hate to ask my doc for a script as that could well be reported to the MIB.

Not a lot of symptoms from CKD 3 except that it's going to get worse. I'd have it checked again soon, and start checking your blood pressure. Kidney failure is no joke. Dialysis is aweful.

For cheap BP meds, Lisinopril is pretty cheap from Indian pharmacies and works for a lot of people. Order small though because it might not agree with you. Or get some from someone else and see how you respond before spending the dough

Potassium and sodium bicarbonate is a great tool for kidney health. Bicarbonate has been used to spread out dialysis treatment in patients with kidney disease. Its been studied fairly extensively a google search will yield useful info. The reason for using both imo is to keep the sodium and potassium balance proper.... which is important if you are shooting for 1-4g of bicarbonate on the day. Plus the added benefit of electrolyte sparring and sodium excretion isnt bad either.
