Ask Mr Green, Diet, Supplement, Training, Workouts, Gear

Any new questions thoughts etc on diets, supplementation, training, cycles , favorite compounds etc? Let’s keep this interactive and going

Mr Green,

How often do you get bloodwork? How did your latest labs look?

I also have one. What do you believe the optimal rep range is? 4 to 6? 8 to 12 ? 12 to 15? I know the standards of higher reps for cutting, lower reps for bulking but honestly when I’m bulking I feel like doing 4 to 6 reps doesn’t really produce results.

Every 3 months for me liver enzymes are usually high but that’s from working out hard and breaking down tissue so nothing crazy

Rep range for most part I like 10-12 range if bulking sometimes I’ll go for 6-8 6 being bare minimum

How about your lipids?

They are usually ok, sometimes the cholesterol numbers look off if running tren but come back to normal when off

How about some new questions guys!

Hi Mr Green,

I posted a question about running some Var on the forum and didn’t get to much feed back so figured maybe you’d be better to ask your opinion as well. I am a girl who’s not new to the training and nutrition program. I just got on a new program and a meal plan. My goal is to lose fat and gain muscle. I’m currently on Sermorelin and have a months and half left, and I want to run a cycle of Var. Aside from sermorelin, I’ve never taken any kind of gear. So I’m nervous about Var and how to take it properly as a woman. I was recommended by a friend to split a 10 mg tab the first month, double the dose the second month and then taper back down to the 10mg dose for the 3 month. I read that 12 weeks is a good cycle. Any advice on how to properly do this, without messing up my body?

12 weeks is long for an oral even if anavar is not as toxic as others but women’s bodies are very sensitive to hormonal changes etc.

I’d cut it down to 6-8 weeks in terms of length.

I’d start for the first month at 10mg a day from here access your progress you may not need to up and can stay here duration of cycle If you do decide to up it after the first 4 weeks I’d recommend only going up to 15mg. This is your first time and at even 10mg as a woman you should have some great progress if diet and training are on point. Women’s bodies are much more sensitive to these exogenous hormones so don’t push it too much. Anavar will give You strength / muscle gains and help harden you up. The diet and cardio will drop the fat.

If you have any questions or weird sides or any further questions feel free to pm me as I want to make sure you do this safely not to throw your hormones out of whack but what I have written out should be good. Keep me posted and I hope you have success in your goals

Thank you so much! I’m super scared of getting my hormones messed up as well. The diet and cardio are killing me softly. Not a cheat meal in sight so... yeah there’s that. I’ll PM you the other questions. Once again I appreciate your feed back!

Hello sexy lady! I got started on the diet and training, and it’s the Var i was trying to figure out. So I ordered the Var and I’m trying to figure out how best to go about taking it and how long, and like tips and tricks to taking it which you veterans would probably know.

Your up late as well I see LOL!!!!

everyone seems to have different opinions on it. It takes a little bit for noticeable changes for me so I usually go for at least 8 weeks. I do tend to get a little bloaty if I take to much to fast. Ive been off everything for such a while now that when I run it again most likely will start as low as 5mg for a week or 2 and bump to 10. Have gone quite a bit higher but am trying to tone it down these days ;) Youll have to try it and see what works best for YOU, experiment s little and just pay attention to how you react, sides, etc. Keep a log and take measurements and pics, if only just for yourself. It helps and comes in handy. It MAY cause the period to stop but that doesnt mean your pg safe. only way to find out is to give it a try ;)

I like the idea of starting at 5 for two weeks. That way I can slowly get my body to adjust. As usual, your advice is always great :) <3

MrGreen I’d like your two cents on this - I’ve heard that accessory/isolation movements are more or less futile during a natty cut, and that I should make my main focus compound movements. The goal here is to preserve as much muscle as possible, since without sarms/aas I don’t expect to put on much. Incorporating small amounts of clen is something I’m considering since I have some leftover.

I feel like I already know the answer but confirmation from a pro is always nice

Edit - 26 y.o. Female, 5’8”, 150 lbs, I’m guessing ~22-25% BF. Follow a split of lower, back/chest, shoulders, and a second lower. LISS cardio 4x a week, HIIT 1x maybe more if I’m feeling ambitious.

Not quite a pro to correct but working towards it :) hopefully next year but I am on the national level.

Anyways, isolation movements etc are for refinement at the end. But yes you want to burn as many calories as you can when cutting let’s put it like this what’s harder and going to make you burn more calories squats or leg extensions? Squats ! That doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for isolation movements like leg extensions at end of workout to burn out but yes compound movements will certainly give you more bang for your buck and burn more calories as they are more taxing on the body.

Clen will help with fat loss as well as a little bit of strength as well! I recommend it when cutting for sure don’t go crazy on the dose start at 20mcg for a couple weeks and assess progress

Good questions guys and gals💪

Any new questions ?

Currently in my offseason at 245lbs looking better than I’ve ever looked at this weight. Should be setting myself up for a good competition season next year.

Hope everyone is doing well

Im happy for you. Do you think the cpap is the reason for your success?

Not sure if it’s positively effecting growth or not but I’d have to think it plays a major part in recovery as I went from 105 interruptions per hour to 2 a night so certainly working for me.

Haven’t been on here as much of late as my engagement was just called off so been getting the life back in order but full steam ahead in terms of training now as there’s nothing to be home for lol

Im sorry bro. I hope things will get better soon. 💪

Your right. Let me ask you bro....do you think that your bodybuilding lifestyle and all that comes with that contributed to the breakup? It truly takes a patient and understanding spouse or girlfriend to accept this lifestyle.

Everything happens for a reason it is what it is

It wasn’t the main reason but it definitely was something she wasn’t crazy about. It played its role. I think with the lifestyle it takes a woman that is very self confident and has a high self esteem to be able to put up with it. She also wasn’t as passionate about the gym and I would go all the time , at the end of the day two different people but yes it is and can be hard to have serious relationships that work with this lifestyle.

Well said. Truly, this lifestyle can be very selfish and hard for others to understand. I'm sorry bro. 💪

That's rough to hear. You seem to have a positive outlook about it though, good for you. pick yourself up, dust yourself off. Onward and upward, Mr. Green.
