What's your favorite back exercise?

Land mine barbell rows (different variations)
Pro style wide lat pull down

Great info!!! You guys have been very helpful!!! I train in my home gym in the basement. I have a good amount of equipment, including calf raising machine, Lat pull down machine, and leg ext/curl bench. And a number of one piece dumbell sets too. But I must admit that I'm behind the times, and you guys have just opened my eyes to lots of things that I need to add. I just looked up Landmine exercises, as well as the one arm meadow rows, and there are a number of various tools and hardware available even for the home gym for performing those movements with my olympic barbell, and some options aren't all that expensive either. I'm really glad that I started this thread, and that so many of you have chimed in!!!

The landmines are basicly the Meadow row.. you dont need any hardware at all.. even at home, just place the bar in the corner and switch grips and stances.. you can even get a small 6-8" chain and heavy duty snap hooks and attach a seated row bar/vBar, and/or wide lat bar and do bent over upright rows..and if you want to work on grip strength at the same time, use a towel or the rope.. you dont need a ship load of DB's man, you can sub out so many different movements.. you can even do land mine should presses single handed (push extra far at top to activate traps and hold for a sec), or close grip press to activate upper pecs and front delts/anterior delts.. you are limitless with what you can do..

I also have a little hack I use for DB's shrugs... Hit me up if you want to see a little contraption I came up with that works great! and the beautiful thing is you dont need heavy DB's.. ;)

T bar row is definitely a great exercise.
I love barbel rows. Heavy. Rep range 4-6.
And Iso Lat for the burn. Nothing burns better than Iso machines.

I'm always on a mission to get more for my money, and to maximize the most out of everything..When I look at things I often think "what more can I do with that", This applies with anything and everything..I have a half decent home setup for days I miss a gym session,I'm always storming with ideas to get a better value out of what I possess.. Frankly, having a whole DB set just isn't practical in the space I have..I have enough Db's for what I need, but I found myself cut short when it came do DB shrugs.. I own a Shrug bar/Hex Bar but Its cumbersome in the area that I have, plus the wife is mostly using it and it has her plates on there, so I let it be.. I came up with an alternative that actually exceeded my expectations.

I had an old pair of Olympic DB handles that were given to me and I had absolute zero use for them (who the f**k uses them), I kept them because I knew I could use them one day for something (she calls me a pack rat)..As I was pausing between sets I was looking around at the set up just thinking in a zone, and that's when it hit me, I had an epiphany..Why can't I use my plates for DB shrugs with added plates on the sides, and how could I manage this? I need a collar of some-sorts..Ahhh, I have an idea!

I went to the tool box grabbed a flat head and popped off the side cap of the Olympic DB bar to view the interior..Hmmm,hex bolt..Back to the tool box for a set of keys..less than 5min later I had the collars I was thinking about..Below is the end result!

A set (left & right).. When holding both I was amazed on how well balanced/stabalized it was and NOT awkward at all..I rest them upright on the interior of my rack when doing sets or super sets..
