    Exclamation Warning to Mig840 users/brewers..

The stuff is awesome no doubt... but it WILL eat certain plastics. I would advise against preloading syringes with it. I watched it eat through a plastic weight boat in 12 hours.

To brewers.. make sure you're using a glass or porcelain filtration system and don't skimp out on stoppers. Make sure they're silicone..

    To infinite and beyond!!

It's a hell of a solvent. I'm not sure why everyone doesn't use silica stoppers.

Probably a stupid question but if it will eat through certain plastics is it doing damage to the body when injected?

Aren't weight boats made for dry powders only? I have some, will research it and see what I find. What about G?

Here's the description of mine, says for liquid too.

.These hexagonal weigh dishes are manufactured from virgin polyethylene and feature an extra smooth surface to provide easy removal of samples. These weigh boats are safe, economical containers for weighing liquid or powdered samples in the laboratory. They provide accurate pour-outs with minimal sample loss. Versatile and durable, dishes can also be used as quick freeze trays for sample material, discard trays for broken ampules, or mixing trays for small batches

I can assure you it isn't harming the body.. I just noticed it was certain plastics. Nothing to do with human tissues.

I spilt some on a weight boat and it ate a hole in it.

Not trying to cause a scare.. just throwing facts out there.

If it was bad for the human body I don't think they would be using it to make makeup, and facial creams and sunscreen..

Anything applied to the skin that is in liquid form and needs to dry would use a solvent carrier to evaporate so it will dry after applied.

Having the solvent float around your inside your muscles and blood stream is a totally different scenario.

I am no toxicologist so I am not trying to say I know different, just saying.....

Not meaning to start a debate here, but Skip makes a very good point above^

Thanks for the heads up and if I ever use anything that has mig840 in it I should only load a syringe when ready to inject.

I only brew test really but I just stick with mct or gso with the old 18% Bb and 2%Ba... Its easy and seems to work well enough with bottle top filters... not to mention that stuff is pretty easy to find.

I also use it for massage oil and lube when fucking because it absorbs without creating any sort of mess. Injections, topical application, and everywhere I stick my cock and no ill effects. It is safe for people.
