Sleep study

Sleep apnea is such a pain in the ass. A lot of times when dreaming at night I know I am dreaming. During the dreams I'll be doing something and then all of a sudden start feeling like I can't breath. So I'll say great here we go an apnea again and try to breath from the mouth and take fake deep slow breaths in the dream. Every now and then it actually works. Normally though it gets real uncomfortable so I shake my head back n forth really hard which causes me to wake up, sure as shit right when I wake up I have to get me in several real good breaths and can tell I hadn't been breathing. Really bizarre.

Go get checked! Its some serious shit.

I have. I just have a really hard time with the machines. Docs said by looking at o2 levels I shouldn't be in any real danger as of yet.

I won't even take a nap without it now. Yes, the mask was a PITA getting used to and like you the nose pillow was useless for me. I was never getting into REM sleep. Now it;s easy. Dream all night long. Of course I'm still mindful of the hose when I want to roll over or just move a bit.

an odd question but since I don't deal with sleep apnea I don't know much about it. Can you just lay on your side to help with it? going off what TG was saying and body position, or with severe cases does it happen with any body position?

Get used to the mask. Have fun with it.

I bang my wife wearing mine and act like Top Gun, making radio comms.

"Ripcord coming in low to drop my load!"
"Request flyover of your face to drop balls on your chin!"

Once she said "Negative! The pattern is full!" and I turned around quick to make sure no one else was in the room sneaking up my "six".

Now if I can just pump oxygen into the mask my breathing can keep up with the Cialis....

Laying on my side helped some but for me it wasn't a fix. During my sleep study I slept on my side and still had 45 apnea events an hour. Granted there's nothing comfortable about the sleep study. all these damn wires connected to your head, a tube around my chest and an O2 clamp on my finger. UGH
