    I have done maybe 6-7 preps and lost quite a bit of body fat each prep. On average I lose 25 lbs of flab in 90 days when prepping.

    Once you get lean and add decent LBM your body becomes more efficient at burning cals so a lean guy can get away with things a not so lean guy cannot get away with.

    Your current body type and for as long as you have been dieting you need to really crank the diet and cardio.

    I've been wondering, if someone (me) has some fat stored and wants to lose that extra fat while maintaining muscle it seems that it's often suggested to up the fat consumption and lower the carbs for fat loss... I have trouble seeing the logic in this or how that works? I would think the body would be quick use up any carbs or protein and store those fats..

    You don't have to consume carbs with fats. Just do protein, veggie, fat meals a few times per day.

    Dinner could be Beef and brocolli. or another meal could be chicken, avocado and veggies. Shakes and nut butter

    Alright, confessions of a chubby guy here. I train 4 days a week using wendlers 5/3/1 program.

    I am more of a strength guy, not a BB, but I do wanna look good.

    To be honest, and I have never hid it on this site, I am about 22% BF right now. I weigh 225 pounds and I am about 6 foot 3. I was an absolute bean pole until early 20's. We are talking 150 pounds.

    43 years old, been doing the compound lifts for 3 years or so pretty steady. I have some decent muscle but I am chubby.

    Where do I start? I do understand macros, etc.

    I need some help losing the chubb. I just started an NPP and test cycle, 375MG NPP a week with 600MG test a week.

    As far as my resting metabolic rate, according to a bod pod test it was 2050 cals a day.

    Diet/Nutrition Q:A

    my wife is trying to get her protein intake higher which is a challenge for her since she has trouble with milk or dairy type stuff like it messes her stomach up. And she's not HUGE on eating meat where as in my case I'll eat shit loads of eggs, shrimp, chicken breasts, yogurt, cottage cheese protein isolate etc all day. So I been trying to make suggestions for her like certain types of yogurt seem to have good amounts of protein and she seems to digest just fine and she like eggs so I mentioned hard boiled egg whites and she likes that but I really can't think of many solutions other than tellin her she just gonna have to man up and eat some meats lol

    I bought her some protein powder that's plant based and supposed to be organic n shit too maybe that'll help but as for vegetables or fruits I don't think that shit really has much protein unless you eat TONS of it and then your getting more carbs n fats than actual protein from that type stuff.

    Am I missing anything here or does she need to just man up and eat some meats?

    Yogurt is dairy so it may be a problem for her. My wife thought she was lactose intolerant for some time but through the process of elimination we discovered she's allergic to A1 casein protein in American dairy. Look into A2 milk, its available at health stores and some supermarkets, it solved her problem.
    Vegan protein is good for those with dairy issues and she can find some with no sugar.
    Egg whites are a great alternative and I mean the pasteurized ones in the box. She can make a smoothie and they are tasteless, also a great protein source.
