How's it going bud?
Yeah sounds like a break would be ideal. Take some time off, get some of those things done around the house while summer is still here. Play around on that tractor of yours.
What's the T3 forStruggling to be honest. I've been fighting to stay motivated over the last few weeks due to stagnant body weight and lack of progress in the gym. I need a week off but I'm trying to hold off because I have vacation coming up the second week of September. Regardless, I need a change. I think a training regimen change is in order but I haven't given it much thought so I'm not sure what direction to go. I need something that allows me to be in the gym 4-5 days per week, and approx 1.5 hours each session.
I'm really at a loss as to why I cannot gain weight. I've bulked up to 260lbs on my current diet in the past, but for some reason I cannot get above 240lbs now. I'm not sure if it's my thyroid meds, the masteron I was taking, the 50mcg of T3, HGH, (fuck, maybe all of it) or something else contributing to this.
I've also had some distractions outside the gym that is fucking with my focus. The past two weeks I haven't even felt like going to the gym but I've fought through it and managed to get in there 4 days each week. I'm just trying to plug along until this passes, which I know it will. I just feel like I need a break for a week or so. I've been training balls out with no breaks since the end of December.
I was thinking that too. Especially with the GH, and if there's other thyroid meds that could be a little muchWhat's the T3 for
I have advices.
This is the other thing I've been preoccupied with. Wife and I took a road trip last weekend to pick out an English Mastiff puppy and put down a deposit. He won't be ready until 9/15.
Thanks for the advice, fellas. It's much appreciated.
A little background on me in case you guys don't already know. My thyroid gland was removed in 2012 (papillary carcinoma). I've been taking Armour (naturally desiccated thyroid) and I'm currently on 240mg/day. I had been taking 300mg/day but doctor bumped me down due to recent labs. I added some extra T3 just to help reduce body fat.
So based on that, would you guys still suggest I stop, or reduce, the T3?
I agree with you, Monte. If you're not growing, you're not eating enough. That's something I have always preached. I guess it just isn't making sense to me why I'm not growing when I've bulked to 260lbs in the past on my current diet. And yes, reducing training to 4 days a week is probably a good idea.
I was thinking about giving DC training a go. A buddy of mine in ATL uses it and the volume/frequency does sound appealing. Mountaindog would also be a good bet as I've always been a fan of JM. Hell, I even thought about reverting back to a 5x5 routine for awhile just to change things up. I'll take a closer look into DC and MD over the next few weeks and see what one sounds best for me.

First off, because your thyroid was removed I have no idea where to go from here as everything I have learned involved a functioning thyroid.
But for me T3 was a muscle wasting disease. Or it certainly looked that way. Maybe I took too much T3.
I dont think this subject matter applies to you but interesting read anyways regarding GH and thyroid supplementation:

I would still reduce the t3. Were you using this much thyroid hormone and gh the last time you bulked to 260?
Dc and fortitude bulldozer training all those methods work for great shocking the muscle for 6-8 weeks but gets to a point to where you can no longer battle the log book safely and the possibility of injury comes in. I’ve known more people tear shit in dc training then any other method besides CrossFit lol.
Friends of ours have two.
Awesome dogs with great demeanor.
