    I like to incorporate both higher rep sets and low, in the same workout unless I have some reason to focus on just one. Sometimes I pyramid up then back down in weight for an exercise, or just pyramid up, or just down. I heard Arnold say that once and it made sense- keep the muscles guessing, cover all the bases. Also throw in rest-pause, drop sets, cycles, up db racks.
