Been away awhile had a bunch of medical issues. Whooping cough put me in hospital and I broke a rib and fractured a rib coughing. Had blood work done and EKG. Both came back off. The dr. Said since u never smoked and never drank alcohol I have to ask u this. U do steroids? I said yes. He said normal heart function is 60 percent and I'm at 45. The heart ultrasound came back that the walls of my heart are thickened. Since I do nothing else and no high blood pressure it has to be the roids. Heart muscles are basically growing and restricting blood flow. He said at 30 percent I'd have trouble walking to the mailbox without stopping to breath and I'm half way there. I stopped pinning 2months ago, he said its reversible just like any other muscle it will shrink. Keep track of your heart and liver while cycling. Having whooping cough helped me find this or eventually I would have had a heart attack. Just be careful.
