Hey guys. New to the forums. Would appreciate the feedback from anyone with experience on this topic.
I've been recovering from a low back injury for about a year and a half now. Previous x-rays came back negative. An MRI showed there were signs that there was a tear in the left QL. However, my doctor said it appears to have healed itself. The problem is I'm still dealing with discomfort. It still feels tender around the sacrum area. I've done several massage therapy sessions, and chiropractic adjustments. I stretch almost every day. It gives some relief, but not to the extent that is needed. I also worked with a great corrective exercise specialist in Los Angeles. The thing is, I'm still not able to really workout the way I want to. I would not be able to, for example, knock out three sets of lat pull down without some flare up. Fortunately, I can do a little lifting, but I'm very limited. I've never dealt with an injury like this before. And although I'm not in terrible pain like I used to be, the discomfort is always on my mind. I'm sure some of you have been in my shoes. It just sucks. And all you want is for things to be back to normal. My doctor suggested a cortisone shot earlier this summer, but I'm not sure I want to do that. I was discussing with a friend (a former bodybuilder) about whether or not I should consider going on a cycle again. Which I haven't done in about three years. This time around, a part of my goal would be to see if this would help my lower back to simmer down. The cycle he suggested was 250 mg of nandrolone decanoate, and 250 mg test e. He strongly suggested pairing with arimidex as well. He said this should really help with lingering inflammation. Basically, it seems one way or another I'll end up with some sort of injection. Have any of you gone on a cycle with one of the main intentions being to help improve a previous injury? Again, would appreciate your feedback. Thanks guys
