Thyroid was removed mid August. Put on 200mcg levothyroxine. Ever since having libido and ed issues.
Have appointment scheduled with endo, what specifics should I ask her to check in blood work?
also, on 250 mg sust per week, when should I stop this to get a true representation of my test levels. Appointment is Dec 1.

please let me know if you need any other information.

thx for the help.

switch to a short ester? depending on your sust the half-life is like 8 days which means you’d have to stop really soon. that said, a true representation is probably zilch since you’ve suppressed endo test.

or do you mean bringing test into a lower range for the doctor’s sake?

bringing test into a lower range for the doctors sake is what I was referring to. I haven't pinned the sust since last Tuesday.

After the appointment do you recommend with a shorter ester test moving forward?

Thx for the help.

My wife had her thyroid removed for cancer/graves/hyperthyroidism as well.

It's been about 5 years ago I think? Her libido never returned. It's almost non existent. I dunno what to watch out for in bloods but I would guess the normal things. Test, free test, e2. Possibly prolactin and dht? Wide array of things.

Sorry you are having these issues.

Just curious as I have nothing to add:

How long have you used AAS and any ancillary drugs?

Do you think AAS had anything to do with your cancer?

been using aas since 2000, heaviest usage was from 2011-2015, I've been on 250 mg sust per week for about 2 years. Have not started a true cycle as life has become very busy and I'm not going to star anything unless I can commit to it 100%.

Do you think AAS had anything to do with your cancer?

maybe, as there was a journal article I read that mice were given higher levels of test and the outcome was increase rate of cancer. So, I'm 85% certain the aas use contributed to the cancer.

thanks for the suggestions. How, if I may ask do you and your wife get around her loss of libido? I'm married as well.

seems obvious, but viagra? cialis? I don't know anything first hand about your issues, but ED drugs could possibly help you out.

Contributed to "cancer" or "thyroid cancer".

Generally speaking the thyroid is hugely misunderstood by the medical community and most diagnosis of thyroid issues are flat out incorrect and by and large, avoidable/reversable.

Many conversion processes within the body produce waste and the thyroid is no different. The creation of thyroid hormones from the base elements creates a waste that can and does damage the thyroid. The bodies ability to not only create the thyroid hormones but neutralize the waste products of their creation is all dependant on proper nutrition and specifically iodine and selenium consumption.

It’s not possible to be very accurate without knowing a lot more detail but if 100mg/week would have kept you in range then if you stop by 11/17 you should be in range. This takes into account accumulation from previous pins. If you’ve already stopped since last Tuesday then by 12/1 you’ll be running on fumes.

I suggested shorter esters only to make doctor visits easier.
