Obviously the doses in running a cycle are bigger than if you are running TRT. But one of the most pushed pieces of advice on any person using gear, is to have as low BF% as you can before you start, preferably 15% or less.
Yet, there are probably hundreds of thousands of guys who are on TRT that are just your normal 9 to 5 working dude with normal dude diet (fast food, pizza, coke and beer) and normal dude exercise (not much).
I just have a few questions that I can't find the answers to.
Can you take an AI indefinitely for the rest of your life while you're on TRT? Are there health risks with doing that?
Can a normal Joe Blow with 25-30% body fat take 150-200mg Test E/week with a small AI dose eod and not have to worry about gyno?
With a good 500 calorie deficit diet and a good workout/cardio plan 5-6x a week, this Joe Blow should be able to lose a lot of body fat and could (in theory) get into really good shape just from a TRT dose...right?
So....is the over abundance of people saying that it's almost mandatory that you be at 15%BF before starting a normal cycle, just saying that because the doses are higher and therefore the side effects will come on faster and stronger if you were above that number? or because the positive effects of the gear wouldn't be noticeable as much.....or both?
If doctors don't give a shit what your weight is before they start injecting you with Test, and if those cruising doses are mild enough to barely have to worry about getting sides (having an AI just in case), I don't see why people who have a high BF% that want that extra strength, motivation, "feel good" effect from Test, couldn't just run 10-12 week cycles in the 200-300mg range without many issues.
Obviously they need to know wtf they're doing and get their diet on point and be working out hard (I'm assuming this part is true in my question).
But isn't that true for someone who maybe doesn't want to bodybuild or compete or anything, but just wants to feel better and start growing a little lean muscle/ start losing some fat?
I guess my point (and question) is if someone ran 2 cycles a year, 250mg for 10 weeks each and had their diet/ workout in check, they would see much better gains and results at the end of that year than if they just went natural with the same diet and workout. Right or wrong? I'm also talking about someone in their late 30's to late 40's.
Just curious, a lot of this fits me personally and I'm just wondering what anybody with experience running gear or TRT/cruising or both, feels about what I've said.
I'm half interested in losing fat/BF% and half interested in getting more muscular. But I also want to feel like I used to and get some aggression back, libido back, energy back etc....
My test level is in the 450's, my free test 101.4pg/ml, prolactin 8.57ng/ml and E2 was 14.2pg/ml.
However I just don't feel the same. Tired, lethargic, unmotivated, etc... doctor won't budge on TRT idea and wants me to take antidepressants. I refuse. I'm not depressed at all. I can just feel that my body doesn't have the same get up and go that I used to have a few years ago when I played basketball for hours every single day.
So I'm trying to self diagnose myself and am getting close to either starting a very low Test E cycle (250-300mg) or just running TRT on myself. Trying to get answers from doctors or online articles is proving hard to do. Hoping someone can shed some light for me and what the legit risks/rewards would be. I've got Test E, Proviron, Nolvadex and Arimidex, as well as HCG and clomid. So I can run a cycle or just cruise. Anybody with any input on any part of this post is appreciated,
If it matters to anybody..... 45, 6'6" 235lbs BF is 25-30%. I've been eating very clean at maintenance or just below for the last month. Macros right now are 35% protein/ 40% carbs/ 25% fat. Been working out consistently 3-4x a week and doing cardio on all off days as well and usually 1-2 workout days.
I wouldn't start a cycle or cruise for another 3-4 months so hopefully I'm down near 20% BF when that time comes. I just want to feel like any sides are easily handled from a 300mg cycle at 20% BF.
