This new company bought us out a few years back. Since then it's been nothing but budget cuts and shuffling more work to cover hiring replacements.
Today I got told I can't buy jackets for my employees, I need to avoid all spending, and to avoid giving folks their vacation.

Fuck these ass holes. I'll spend my days fucking off and watching porn till I get out of this dump.

When you have an employer that says no vacations....abandon ship.

And I mean right now.

Nothing says insolvency more than an employer that cannot afford vacation pay.

Vacation pay is totally voluntary by the employer. No state or federal law mandates or requires an employer to pay vacation.

EDIT: As far as I know in the states I am familiar with.
 
Oh wait, but if it is company policy and it is earned then yes you have every right to have your vacation in either form of time off or pay in lieu of time off.
