Wouldn't telling a sponsor that your posting pics of their gear will increase traffic be considered being a gear whore? Dick riding gear whore at that?

I'm so confused. I thought it was already implied that gear pics brought traffic.......saying how much YOUR pics increase traffic brings upon the conceded side of things...I dunno someone educate me.
