View Full Version : Hamstring cramps up on legs days

So my hamstrings keep cramping up. I have increased my water to gallon and half. Drink Gatorade post workout, tried pedialite, bananas, lots of stretching and still cramps. Now when I say cramps I mean I almost fall to the floor. I am on test/deca/tren. Back in 2010 I had a distal bicep ligament rupture and I get nervous with my hamstring because I don't want a tear injury.

Any advice on what I could try to to help alleviate the cramps tx

magnesium and potassium.

With as much as athletes sweat we need more electrolytes than the average joe. No one on this forum gets close to the couch potato recommended 4700mg potassium a day.

I get cramps pretty bad to on leg day, typically my vastus medialis! as what everyone else has said seems to work for me. Magnesium, potassium , and taurine. I take the potassium and magnesium am/pm and taurine around workout times. I like a gram pre/post and with my intra as well.

Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, and Sodium... All very important. Are you sure it isnt tendon or ligament tightening? I get that in the groin sometimes, but it passes.

Here is a question? What order do you do legs? And when do your hammies cramp up? At the very beginning or a few sets in?
