Had 3 tears at 1 time, one of them was the slap.
From surgery to gym, took me 4 months. My rehab went phenominal, roms improved every pt session.

Had a SLAP which I opted non surgical as I was without insurance at the time. Was back to benching 135 at 3 months (without pain but with stiffness). Everyone is unique when it comes to recovery, rehab, etc, but most important is targeting accessory muscles and avoiding lifts that created the injury(oly rings in my case). Follow your therapist and Ortho recommendations to a T and do not try to overtrain as much as your mind wants to. The only lift that scares me to this day (1 year out) is the BP. I have resorted to some assistive training on the bench which protects against injury and overloads the joints(pm me if more info needed). Expect 3-6 months to return but keep the load low and reps medium.

Dr said I wasn't officially healed until a year post op. I had shoulder labrum repair torn about 90% they said. Took about 4 months to feel more normal and a year to feel like it did before. I lost so much strength on that side though (I reinjured mine 2 months post op and had to sling it another 3 months). My left shoulder isn't as strong as my right physically and I have residual nerve sensations down that arm from the surgury sometimes. For my surgury to complete the repair they cut one of the muscles in half and put it back together. There's a lot of scar tissue inside there and its painful to pin sometimes.
