37yrs old 5'6" (on a good day) and 158 lbs. Roughly 12-15% body fat if i were to take an estimate.


Cycle Layout will be as follows:


IML Msten - 20/20/20/20/20/20
IML 4AD - 100/100/100/100/100/100


**if no significant sides exist at 6 weeks, I will extend the cycle to 8 weeks.


AI - Exemestane 12.5mg EOD starting week 3 and running it through PCT


Support will be:


LGI Damage Control - 4 caps per day
+ NAC - 600mg
+ Fish Oil - 2000mg
+ several other key vitamins and minerals


PCT will be:


Clomid 50/50/25/25
Exem - 12.5 eod going two weeks past end of serm
Endosurge Turbo - dosed as directed


This will be a bulk so will be increasing my calories as the cycle progresses. Just came off a long slow cut, so I should be primed to make use of the extra carbs and cals.


Maintanence cals is between 2300 and 3300. I have a 1000 calorie dead zone where nothing happens


Week 1 - 3200 cals
Week 2 - 3400 cals
Week 3 - 3500 cals
Week 4 - 3600 cals
Week 5 - 3700 cals
Week 6 - 3800 cals
Week 7-8 - 4000 cals (if all goes well)


For the most part, the macros will be 45% carbs, 35% protein, and 20% fats. Average protein intake throughout the cycle will be 300g, average carbs will be 350g. This will be adjusted as needed.Last natty bulk put on a lot of fat and I worked too damn hard to get it off.

Actually, the fun has already begun...this is day 3. Just hadn't had a chance to post this up. Nothing to note and don't expect anything for the next few days...

Day 4:

Last night had a slight headache. Seemed like blood pressure spiked a bit. Had to pound 1/4 gallon of water before going to bed. That eased it somewhat. I'm already drinking over a gallon, so bumping it up today to a 1 1/2 gallons and then tomorrow to 2 gallons. Also couldnt sleep as well as I'd like to last night. Seems my youngest is coming down with something. Dang daycares are bacteria factories.

Glycogen is increasing. Not sure if its from the increase in carbs or the msten. Either way, its niiiiice. I know its too early, or maybe I'm a good responder to the 4ad, but libido is also higher than usual.

Legs and lower back are a bit sore from yesterday's workout. Worked back today. Fortunately, lower back was willing to cooperate on the rows. Will be hitting legs again tomorrow if soreness subsides.
 
3200 is still considered maintanence for me. Letting the msten build up in my system before increasing cals.

Also consider that I am sitting all day. So only active when I lift or on weekends.
 
I bulked up to about 180 not too long ago. Put on some muscle but also added quite a bit of fat. so trying not to repeat the same mistake. Msten should help as the last bulk was natty.
 
Days 5 and 6

Nothing much to report. Sleep is better. And no more headaches, but I am adding in a baby aspirin ED to keep them at bay.

Did a quick arm and ab workout yesterday (day 4) as was short on time and hit legs again today (Day 5). Haven't tried zercher squats in a while so threw them in. Think I will add them more frequently.

it really shouldn't take too long to "build up" considering it's an oral. i'll be following to see how it treats you :winkfinger:
 
Yeah I hear you. I expected results starting next week. But already seeing more vascularity and stamina.

Just spent some time online looking for lingerie and toys for the wifey...so libido is up as well!

Days 7-8 were my rest days. Took the weekend off (usually the case for me) and spent time with the kids. Sunday was a bit hectic. Its usually my meal prep day and everything was closed FML. Drove across town to find a supermarket that was open. Don't think I made my macros for the day, but doing so saved the remainder of the week.

So week 1 is in the books. Up 4 lbs as of today (dry weight first thing in the morning). Most likely water weight, but I do feel/see my muscles as being fuller.* Calories will be increased this week to 3400, which would be a slight surplus for me. No significant gain in waist size as of yet, but will begin tracking with a tape when I get home. If it decreases any, I'll bump the cals even further and vice versa.

Day 9 - Hit chest and front delts. Noticing a slightly better pump and I could get those last couple of reps in that I couldn't do last week. So things are progressing nicely, I just have to be patient. I am however, seeing that the increase in libido has subsided. Guess it was just the initial bump from the 4ad. Oh well...I was thinking about dropping a pill or two into my wife's shake for an experiment. Maybe 1 week on / 1 week off...I kid I kid...maybe...anyone try it???
 
Haha, wouldn't recommend 4AD for the wife, lol.

Don't be too quick to attribute weight gain to water weight. You could very well be holding more intramuscular glycogen, at least part of your weight gain is due to this. I only ran MSten once, and it was pretty awesome. Eat big on it.

I don't know man a little chest hair never bothered me....

I hear you about eating big. I just don't want to gain the wrong kind of weight. Not concerned about losing abs or whatnot since its a given during a bulk. Just seems like my metabolism is slowing down a bit as of late and I have to watch my diet a bit closer.

Yea, definitely don't go the "eat everything in sight" route. But keep the protein and carbs high. If you start gaining too much fat, then give the protein priority. Msten was a lot like Superdrol in this regard for me. Carbs seemed very important.
 
Day 10 - Worked legs. Starting to see strength and endurance increases. Ran through my typical workout and threw in a 6 time drop set for leg extensions. Basically dropped 10 pounds every 10 reps, resting only enough to catch my breath. Its difficult for me to get a nice pump going in my legs, but that definitely did it. Normally, I wouldnt have enough gas to do something like that in the end.

Increased cals by about 150 since I had to change my wife's tire last night.

Day 11 (today) - Worked back. Just like yesterday, weights were moving easier. Took advantage of a slow day at work (lift during my lunch hour) to squeeze a different exercise into the routine. So I did 4 sets of straight arm lat pulldowns. Mind muscle connection is getting better.

Also going to increase cals this week by 150 to 3500. Woke up the last couple of days noticing that my abs are a bit tighter. Now that I am feeling the msten, I want to make sure that I am feeding it appropriately.*

So going forward, diet will look like this:
Week 2 - 3,500
Week 3 - 3,600
Week 4 - 3,750
Week 5 - 3,850

Will re-evaluate cals at week 5 again.
 
Day 12 (4/9/15) - Worked legs again. I am seeing improved recovery. I usually work legs twice a week, even off cycle. I want to grow tree trunks lol. But I pushed it hard last leg session and was expecting to have to postpone my second leg day to Friday. By thursday, I was ready to go. Very good day at the gym. Weights increased as did reps and intensity.

Day 13 (4/10/15) - Arms / Abs. This is a high volume day. Appetite is increasing. It still within control, but its nice that the food goes down a lot easier and faster. Patiently waiting for that "on" feeling I keep hearing about.

The msten has not caused any increase in temper/aggression. I am actually a bit calmer than usual. Libido is the same as it was pre-cycle, so the increase the first week has now reverted back to normal.*

Next week will be a busy week at work for me, so the amount of time I have to spend at the gym will be less. This weekend I'll take a look at whether to use drop sets, supersets, etc. If anybody has any preferences on what works best for you, I am all ears...

Things have gotten interesting around here...and not in a good way. The wife has what I believe to be NPD and had an episode this weekend. So stress levels will be higher than usual while I hunker down and wait it out. Will try to keep my routine in place as much as I could.

The good news - up another 3 lbs this week. Minimal body fat gain based on eyesight in the morning. Some nice changes in body composition are happening.*

Day 16 (4/13/15) - Chest / Front and Side Delts
 
Alright fellas. Here's a quick summary of this past week.*

Strength continues to increase. Last couple of nights, I've had some insomnia. Wake up hungry, eat something and then cant fall back asleep. Sensing some lethargy, but most likely due to sleep quality. Just ordered some ketofifen to get sleep back on track. Back pumps evident on deadlift day. Will add a scoop of taurine pre-workout on leg days here on out.

Also, started dosing exemestane 12.5mg M/W/F as a preventative.*

Would like some input on carb sources. Rice and Sweet Potatoes have always been my main go-to for carbs. I pretty much eat the same meals day in and day out to ease cooking and meal prepping. It's getting kind of old. Anyone have some good carb heavy alternatives?

I started with similar body size: 5'7" 155lbs. 45 years old this past December. My weight right now is about 176. I've been as high as 191 3 weeks ago, but obviously mostly water. It takes me 3200 calories to maintain low-mid 170's body weight.

Are your goals body building and mass? Mine is geared for strength training and power lifting...

4ad is a 4-DHEA prohormone that converts to testosterone. I have a few bottles from the ban a few months back and need to use them up. So it'll do for now. Once its used up, I'll be pursuing TRT, so test bases will be covered.

Goals here are to add lean mass. But the first exercise in my routine is always a compound movement geared for strength. So far, I've progressed in both areas.

But before you get all disappointed on me, I do have a brown-eye for you...let me just reach around and get my camera just right...
 
Beginning of week 4 here.

Up another 3 lbs (about 10 lbs so far). Waist is growing just a bit, but that was expected. This week will be increasing cals to 3,850. Metabolism is definitely ramping up. So no longer concerning myself with fat gain at this point. I'll be shifting my meals around a bit so that I can get to bed a bit earlier. I'm thinking the sleep issues as of late is due to going to bed with a full stomach. So I'll pretty much be consuming my meals within a 10-11 hour period, with my workout right in the middle. I'll aim for having my last meal 2 hours before bed.

Recovery is amazing. I'm killing the weights and the following day, only minor soreness. Hit chest and front/side delts this afternoon. Switching out flat bench for incline to focus more on upper pecs. Threw in several drop sets. Got a major chest pump going...
 
Today I hit legs. I lift during my lunch hour and got to the gym late, so it ate up my lifting time. Then when I get there, a couple of guys are doing OHP in the only squat rack they have. I worked in with them, changing weights as we went, which took up more time than lifting solo. So long story short, I had to make up for a lot of lost time.

Worked up to my last set on squats, then dropped the weight twice. It was on this drop set that I remembered that I didn't take any taurine before my workout. My back was fried mid-set. I pushed on although could not get as low as I would have liked.

The rest of the workout was supersets. Superset wide stance leg presses with leg extensions and narrow stance leg presses with calf work. Threw in a couple of sets of lunges and then had to go. Had to sacrifice some calf work in order to make it back to work on time. Legs were done though. Literally limped to the locker room.

Got much better sleep last night and that helped reduce the lethargy during the day. So the change in eating pattern worked out for the better. Only problem is that I had horrible protein farts. I guess I'm placing my meals too close together.

Dosed my exemestane last night using a different company. This morning, I had pain in my shoulders, wrists and knees (great combo for squat day). So this means that the previous exem is BUNK.

No surprise here. Purchased Viagra from them. BUNK. Cialis. BUNK. Torem BUNK. $200 completely wasted on their buy one get one free sale. All I could hope for is that its underdosed and maybe bump it up to 25mg so it wont be a total loss. But I doubt it. Scammers won't even respond to e-mails.
 
i loved msten. got some lethargy at week 3 but wasn't too bad. I could eat high amount of carbs and still stay hard and lean. Awesome oral for sure.
 
Yeah if I don't get a solid 8 hrs of sleep, I get hit with lethargy the next day. Especially after a high carb meal.

I get pretty bloated throughout the day with all the carbs and water. But always wake up in the morning nice and lean. Wish I could stay like that all day...
 
Work has kept me busy lately, so here's a recap of the last few days. At this point all workouts start off with one heavy compound movement for strength followed by a series of supersets or drop sets.

4/22/15 - Back day. Nice pumps going in my traps and lats.*
4/23/15 - Leg day. Emphasis on hamstrings. Learned my lesson from the previous leg day and took 6g taurine 45 min preworkout. Had no effect. Will double the amount next week. Maybe 6g 2 hrs pre followed by anotehr 6g 1 hr pre. If that doesnt work, I'll be getting used to dealing with back pumps for the remainder of the cycle. Trying to fine tune my form on RDL's so that I focus more on the hams vs erectors.
4/24/15 - Arms/Abs.

Lethargy is hitting me again. Sleep has not been as good as I'd like. My kids are sick and its messing with my sleep. Felt like I was dozing off driving to the gym today. Considering using pre-workouts for energy, but once I get to the gym I'm GTG. Plus I want to leave the stimulants for PCT.

Beginning of Week 5 - was not able to weigh myself as I usually do on Monday morning. Weighed in this morning (Tues) at 171 so week 4 yielded another 3 lbs (up 13 lbs so far). At this point, the weight coming on is not all muscle, so calories will stay constant at around 3,800 - 3,900.

Life is getting a bit hectic. Wasn't able to maintain diet over the weekend, which is usually the case. But normally, I make up any missed calories with homemade shakes. Wasn't able to do that this past weekend, so a little surprised with the weight increase. I may have added more lbs and lost a couple over the weekend. Mostly water I suppose as I didn't drink as much either.

Strength is still climbing, but I am holding the weights steady at this point. I'm focusing on form and TUT. For example, rather than increasing the weight on squats today, I focused on going well past parallel and focusing on form to avoid back pumps. Dosed 12g of taurine preworkout, which helped as well.

Overall a very successful week.
 
Sounds great. Are you tracking body fat? Any idea how much of your gain is lean body mass?
