I'm 30. Doc asked me if I had trouble urinating I said no but it's not like my stream is jet power. He said for the hell of it I'm going to check your prostate. It sucked but he mentioned it was a little larger than he would have expected. He wants to do an ultrasound just be to be safe. Am I alone here? I'm kind of freaked out a bit. I haven't cycled in a very long time and didn't expect this at all. Am I a goner? Lol
 
I've had a couple sonograms for that and unless things have changed in the past couple of years you are in for a surprise.LOL
 
Along with digital examination he should also test your PSA levels.

If your doctor isn't a specialist (urologist) cancel and see a specialist. Larger means nothing, they are looking for lumps, higher PSA levels, and I don't see what an ultra sound is going to do for you. If it's just larger then normal take finasteride for awhile to make it smaller and grow hair on your head of you're balding.
 
I have a enlarged prostate has been for many years but this cycle i have noticed a weakened stream and alot more trouble in the morning getting started and keeping the stream. Time for a urologist or something my dr can just give me a script for? Sorry for jacking your thread btw
 
Bigtoe, try tadalafil (cialis), it works wonders and had great size effects like lower blood pressure and rock hard erections. Go to your doctor of course, but this will help short term.
 
I read a bunch of cases where finasteride can cause gyno. Tons of cases online. I'm worried about that haha and a ton of other side effects as well

He tried to prescribe that and I denied it. Way too many sides and it can cause gyno in a ton of patients. I'll wait till my blood work comes back before I take any serious meds

Tada works. Used it this cycle for the first time daily at 7-8mg. No issues at all untill I started slacking off on dosing and now im pissing more and getting some dribble at the end. Getting doses back on track.

Good news is my psa is .04 or .4 I forget which....and never moves.

From all my past readings and peoples accounts, it is not a nice drug.

Lots of saw palmetto makes a difference too. Take your AI, heavy on the saw palmetto and daily small tada dose and you should see a huge difference.
 
Prescribed meds like finasteride and more extreme Avodart do have some nasty sides, but if you understand how they work you can work to avoid them. These drugs block or reduce your DHT (free test) levels which can lead to increases in prostate size. So by reducing your DHT levels you starve the Prostate and over several months it shrinks. Now where the problems arise is your DHT levels help to balance your estrogen levels, and keep estrogen from getting to high and causing sides. Doctors of course give you a pill to fix one problem knowing that it will create an imbalance but do nothing to fix the imbalance. Gyno / low libido are both signs of what? High estrogen levels. By taking an AI while taking these drugs you can keep your estrogen balance in check while reducing your prostate size at the same time. If you can avoid taking these medicines that is the best option, and taking them while on a cycle may make your cycle not as productive as your DHT levels will be diminished. Saw palmetto and other OTC things have been proven to have almost the same success as the more harsh drugs and are the perfect place to start, but keep in mind these OTC remedies can also take months to work but so do the drugs. Other things that have been proven to be beneficial include prostate massage, and colloidal silver. Prostate Massage helps to drain the fluid of the prostate and reduce it's size, this is what was done for ages until the newer drugs came on the seen. Colloidal silver may help because many times there is some bacteria that is inflaming the prostate making the problem worse, and most of the time these bacteria do not show up on tests.

It's definitely one of those things that isn't the Utopian cure all it is sold as, and the quality can vary wildly, not to mention the turning blue thing if you take 1,000 times the dose. But I have used it for ear infections, acne, and sparingly when a sickness goes around our house, and have had good results. You only need to take it for two to three weeks for prostate, and it is going to be noticeably better or not change at all. More often then not it does nothing for enlarged prostate, but if along with the other large prostate symptoms you also have pain, there may be an infection it will help. Before I ever touched gear I had a prostate infection that never really showed up as an infection but they put me on antibiotics anyway, this lasted almost a year and after the doctors failed for 6 months straight I started doing research on anything and everything. Start conservative, OTC meds, & listen to your doctor, if things don't improve do some research and try some of things I've mentioned or PM me and I'll send you link to some stuff. Good luck.
