tommy The AMA sub form is full of this stuff, I deleted them but Im sure you can view them with mod powers and ban these guys
 
Mods I have been sending them in using the little triangle with the exclamation point in it, are you guys getting them?
 
Mods can delete and ban in their forums only. Reps can delete under moderation tools in their forums. Members need to report these to admin by using the triangle like Eze said. Spammers are just that, junk mail in the vbulletin system, usually trying to sell something off the wall like tractors or vacations ect. The ones we are seeing look Thai, doesn't matter we can all do something to clean them up. I think it is hard to keep them off entirely.

Lately, I've been getting emails from members reporting them in their messages. Of course, I can't delete them or ban the members but anywho, I usually just forward it to the ADMIN or MODs.

THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!

Last week, I got a phone call from someone with an Indian accent and he claimed that I qualified for a $75,000 student loan. As if at 51, I have time to go back to college. But since I never applied for one, I thought that I'd patronize him a bit before dropping the bomb. I let him explain further til finally I asked, "Dude, how did you get my cellphone number?" He says that his agency has a list of hardworking citizens who pays their taxes on time and deserves student loans.

Finally I asked, "Really? Are you sure you got the right number? Dude, I'm like 3 years behind with my taxes." Long pause then he hangs up.

Back in the days when I was SuperMOD at AnabolicSupport and MuscleArmy, I was banning a half a dozen of spammers every night. They often registered when the boards were quiet and the names were obvious.
