I AM SOOO PISSED at the united states government. I was just reading they are going to start allowing the recruitment of illegal immigrants. Yet I get turned down for having a felony from when I was 19.

Personally I feel if an individual is willing to serve in our armed forces in order to gain citizenship, then that is a much better route to becoming a member of our society than just being granted amnesty and given handouts.

when i lived in southern california i knew several people that were serving in the marine corps on green cards. there was some stipulation that once their contracts were up they were granted citizenship. slightly different situation, but similar at the same time.

Ya I agree about the earning citizenship. But for someone whos here legally. Theres a big difference between giving someone who came here the right way (here on a visa or green card) and letting someone who hopped the border come here and take even more jobs. one of the most honorable things i have got to see is someone get sworn in and gain their citizenship. But that was someone who did it the right way.

Theyre having trouble recruiting because americas becoming a cess pool of entitled fat asses that cant pass a pt test so hey lets just throw some undocumented illegal aliens into our national defense. But here I am taking college classes and in good physical shape and I dont qualify cause of one mistake from almost 5 years ago when I was 19. Sorry for the rant yall I just had to vent.

i was denied back in 07-08 for a felony, recruiter said they can look past certain felonies but mine wasnt one of them. goverment has been like this for awhile now, democrat or republican doesnt matter, politicians are all liars and scumbags for the most you could probably say they all are and nobody would disagree. i think nowadays people just know more because these politicians cant just sweep everything under the rug and social media is another huge reason things get out

Honestly you might be better off not having served especially if you're getting a college education. I was deployed to OEF and OIF 1. The things I've seen and done are very hard to live with. I watched a friend of mine bleed to death a few feet away from me. We used to eat at Bennigans restaurant together. We used to go to sharkys and secrets strip clubs in Fayetteville together. When I got my honorable discharge about a year later I was broke and homeless. I spent about a year living out of my car. I get help from the VA now. I'm on medication for the rest of my life. I'm a statistic. Just try to look at the bright side brother.

I can definitely live with what i did and the brothers we lost will tell you the same when we see em at the gates of heaven. Ill do it again today if I have too. Its never good going to sleep at night and getting the visions of it but my sole tells me i did it for more than just me n i can lose sleep with no problem just by knowing that. Thank you for your service brother and no matter what you had to do you have fellow brothers like me that will pick u up no matter what. You ever need anything brother pm me n ill be there to help. My fellow marines that stood by my side in those times still keep in contact because at some points in our lives we doubt our actions. My marines are always there to stomp every once of that doubt away. Never doubt yourself brother n cherish your friends service because he would do the same for you. My best friend in this world deployed with me and lived everything i did. We came home together n he fukn hung himself 6 months later. From that point on i make it a point to let every serviceman know they did it for a better cause then themselves. I let him down by not noticing his pain n helping n won't let it happen again.

Obama has deported more people than any other president though, so Judging by your interests, you should find that a positive.

Hey man. Nice points in your post. I disagree with many of them but still doesn't make you wrong. I believe our current president does have an agenda and it is based on liberal beliefs. For instance when it comes to our current situation with ISIS he ran as the man who would end our wars and bring us home. By doing that and not signing the status of forces agreement we are now left in a bad situation pertaining to this terrorist threat. Had he been listening to his advisors at that point i believe our situation would be a different one. Once again doesn't mean im right it's just my opinion. Ive fought for this country with pride and even though my ideas are in line with some republican views when Mr Obama became president i gave him the same respect i would any president. In my opinion i dont believe he himself is that same way. I believe once he won the r election his promises he made that fid not fit his views were left by the wayside so that he could transform this nation a little more in his parties ways. I dont think hes some horrible person out to get everyonr that doesnt think like him but i do believe he thinks his way is better no matter what. We are a country of ideas and strong will. His way in my opinion seems to be that he knows best and we should just follow. His policies have not brought us to the outcome that he promised and he has not accepted he wss wrong in many of those avenues. A true leader is transparent and is open to the thought that the people know best. Listen to your country and your country will listen to you and as a whole our joined efforts will prevail. There are extremists on both sides of the isle so its mot just him. Our whole system is not living up to its potential and we are better than this. I hope our next president is a true leader and really knows what together means.
