Hey everyone. I know it's not that big of a deal but my left trap is almost a half inch bigger than my right trap. Since its such a small muscle group you can easily tell by looking at me with my shirt off. I'm focusing on strength training right now so I've been using barbells for almost everything. Any suggestions on how to get them the same size?

Switch to dumbells the back to barbells just keep stuff guessing. It will take a long time but stuff will even out.

when you get too good at training one way your body figures out ways to cheat and use the stronger side. Everyone has a stronger side

Yea i would use dumbells more often but my gyms dumbells only go up to 100 lb. And that's way too light when you can rep 395 on a barbell

Maybe jus add some drop sets and pause reps with the dumbells to make training more intense?

I would be training with less weight brother, if you're wanting growth.

I've been doing Shrugs 4x8 and they've responded very well in that rep range. The only problem is the size difference. If it wasn't for the size difference i wouldn't even think about changing it up right now

That sucks brother. I had that same problem dumbells are the only way to fix it. Just like nuttz51 said your body has figured out how to use your strong side more. If your not careful a small difference is going to turn into a very noticeable one. Good luck to you bro.

My right arm seems to be bigger, wonder why :jerkit: in reality though use dumbbells and focus on squeezing both sides to complete contraction.
